African American man elected Govenor of Massachusetts

Being that Massachusetts is like 90% White on top of which it's one of the most racist states in the nation -I would know, i live here- I was shock to know that Deval Patrick (D) , a black guy, won a post that has never had a person of color.

He's the first African American to be a Mass. Governor ever since the states' inception in the early 1600's.

Although I fear for his life, he should do a fine job until he's assassinated, lol.

And your point is to say you're happy or upset that progress has been made, at least on the lines of possible racism in your states politics?

Why would i be upset if progress was made. I love progress and I guess I'm glad he was elected but that his election had anything to do with reverse racism/white guilt, is another issue.

With people like you living in Mass I am not surprised it is the most racist state. Why cant you just look at people and not their color?

are you serious? no one who lives in massachusetts can seriosly be shocked that deval won. He had like a 20 point lead day before election day. there was no chance healy would win.
