okay, so I finally was able to locate Tasty Pirates and join the forum. The topic of conversation over there is amazing. Things I've thought about but haven't discussed on here.
here's the link to read some of the theories being discussed

such as.....How can Jack really expect to make it to Florida in a dingy?
Why and how did jack know to cut out the map to the fountain of youth if he and Barbossa were going to go after it together?
Why did Jack leave the Pearl unattened with Barbossa on board?
Why did Mr. Gibbs think that he was on the Pearl? Because Barbossa got him drunk and then had him carried off board to sleep with the teddy bear, because he knew Gibbs would object to them stealing off with the Pearl....
And why does Gibbs get that look on his face after Jack slaps him, he smirks, shakes his head, doesn't say a word but seem to understand what Jack has to do....they share the dukes and then we hear them say "Take what you can, give nothing back"..then Jack turns around with that look of determination mixed with sadness on his face...so, he get in the dingy..he's had time to make a flag for it....he doesn't realize the bottle of rum is there cuz he's surprised when he finds it...he looks at the map...he takes a drink...then he starts humming that song....he looks back to the compass and starts singing "Drink up me hearties yo-ho" and seems quite please as to where the compass is pointing....
now, why would he need the compass to guide him to Florida and the fountain of youth if he has the map? That compass is pointing to something/somewhere else.....now, Jack needs a ship, and who has a ship? Elizabeth...and where could he realistically go in that dingy...to Shipwreck Cove......
And now there is speculation that the little smirks exchanged between Liz and Jack in the goodbye scene....has a new meaning...it's as if they have a secret between them...watch Jack's smile as she walks away...gosh, I guess this seems a little far-fetched....but it is Casablanca...Elizabeth knows that Jack truly lies in her heart, he is a good man, when the battle is over she realizes all that he sacrificed for her and for Will..thus the smile down towards him, but the hiding of that smile in case anybody should notice...and then jack smiling and looking towards her as she looks away......
she is calling back to what Jack said to her two years ago in Port Royal "it would have never worked between us".....and then jack smiles and says "keep telling yourself that darling"...
there is speculation that he wards off the kiss because he didn't want the crew to witness his soft side, that he was afraid if he allowed the kiss he wouldnt' be able to let her go, or that he felt like if she kissed him it would be like being "unfaithful" to Will, thus once again protecting Will....then that smile as he watches her walk away...as if he is saying "you haven't seen the last of me, dearie".....
So, go ahead have your one day with Will, but then there are 10 years......don't know, again, a little far fetched....but I guess it's hard for us to believe that this is over....and I still say the ending was not all that met the eye...there's something else.....
