Will: No! I’m not going back to the ship while he stays here with my fiancé!
James: Calm down. They’re not staying, they’re following behind us.
Liz: Will...please, just do what he says. Me and Jack will be right behind you. I promise.
Jack: Yes...we promise. Now off you go (he makes shooing motions with his arms).
James starts across the beach, dragging Will along. Will glares back at the two of them, but doesn’t argue.
Jack: There’s a good boy.
He turns to Liz and leans in as if to kiss her. She pushes him away.
Liz: Jack! At least wait until he’s out of sight.
He leans back again.
Jack: Whatever you say luv.
Jack turns around to watch their retreating backs, and when they finally disappear into the trees. He grins and starts to turn back to her, but is surprised by Liz jumping on his back, forcing him into the sand. She turns him around to face her and begins to kiss him.
Jack: What—
Liz: Shhh...we’ve only got a few minutes. Lets make them last, aye?
Jack: Aye.
They stay in the sand for a few minutes longer, both craving more, but knowing they couldn’t go any farther for the time being.
Finally Jack gently pushes Liz off of him, and helps her to her feet.
Jack: They’ll be wondering where we’ve gotten to.
Liz (whispering): Let them wonder.
She leans in and begins to kiss his neck. His entire body tenses at her touch, and he knows that if he doesn’t stop her soon she’s going to win.
Jack: No.
He holds her back at arms length, looking her square in the eyes.
Jack: I won’t let you ruin your life like this...with me.
He begins to walk up the beach, leaving her there.
Liz runs after him. She gets in front of him and stops short, causing him to stop too.
Liz: I believe it’s my life to ruin.
Jack sighs.
Jack: You can’t honestly want to spend the rest of your days sailing around on a pirate’s ship do you?
Liz: Yes, I can honestly say I do.
Jack walks around her again.
Jack (quietly): Well it’s lucky for you I love you too much for that, isn’t it
They walk silently towards the trees. Tears streaming down Liz’s face, she stays a few paces behind Jack so he won’t see.
