MizWillofthewisp, in answer to your query about men and women being just friends--I would have believed so right up until the moment I got to be single again. His men friends(my inherited men friends)people I felt like were my brothers, stepped up to the plate in a different way. We women can be friends--we also can decide not to date our girlfriends old boyfriends for the most part (taboo). It's just our nature--men, gosh, best I can do with that is, they be hounds! Not a problem, as long as you know they be hounds. Men writers writing women and women's relationships, kinda iffy on a good day don't you think. They defended admirably most all of what they did in movies and even seemed to be laying in another level. I'd give a dollar to know what wasn't said about the compass in DMC. Ah well, you pays your money and makes your choice.

It seems that TnT were playing with his character. They decided to make the trilogy a waste of time for him. Poor Jack. He definitely needs someone to make it up to him 😄

Oh I saw that too! chewed my brain out, I did. We can't be wrong...we just can't be you know?! And this is not just me being a sore loser (which I am) or a bad case of prejudice (which it is) or me feeing that sparrabeth is so wonderful (which I do)....it's just that...why have so many sparrabeth moments (even some hints in AWE) if nothing was to happen. If in the end they're both in denial and claim that their heart belongs to another. Dang it!! The real reason he let Will stab the heart was for Elizabet and that bit in the novel proved it.

Wow, this is such a unique sparrabeth one. Beware: if you have any feelings for Will at all, and a lot of sparrabethers do like him at least a little, then get your hanky out. What's beautiful is that this song could be used for any of the relationships in POTC

OOOOOOOOH!!! Sniff sniff to the first but...I love "uptown girl" it's my fave billy joel song (yeah I'm 14 but I'm allowed to love billy joel, pat benatar, bruce springsteen, the rolling stones AND the beatles right?) I saw another version of that vid a while ago but I like this better.

Just watched the second and third in the billy joel series. "Vienna waits for you" is another favorite of mine and the vid was pure sparrabeth.

Loved the captain Jack one...it's always cool when you hear a song with the word "captain jack" in it. Although I think Billy joel was talking about a drug dealer in that song....eh! What difference does it make? Drug dealer? Pirate? I still love a song with the word Jack in it. (Like "hit the road Jack" it doesn't have to be a pleasant usage of 'Jack'...it just has to have Jack)

Meh, I kinda like the way it came out but it was better when I was planning it out in my mind lol I hope you like it though!

There are some key elements in this vid that I feel should be brought up as the sparrabeth communities have always been buzzing about that are displayed in this vid:

Rum - One of the most obvious of sparrabeth signs since rum refers back to the day Elizabeth burned Jack's rum; when he first fell for her (in the words of TnT, the woman he was attracted to then infuriated with or the woman he wouldn't have been so infuriated with if he hadn't been so attracted to her.)

Compass - No matter which way you slice it, that compass always targeted some how at Elizabeth. Even at the end of AWE, whether it pointed to her or not does not matter considering he'd been no longer vexed but instead accepted his love for her but realized it was time to move on.

Their Song - One of the most memorable sparrabeth moments, we're always drawn back to the island scene where Elizabeth was in fact the one to teach it to him.

We're told that Jack was vexed ever since the end of CotBP, and wasn't it funny that he had been singing their song? Now, to have him singing it again at the end of AWE hints to me at least that she's still on his mind and will always be in his heart.

I bring up those three key points because I ask you to try to spot them in the video when they arise and appreciate the meaning behind them.
