He really looks like he likes her in these pictures.

I don't get it.... Something is fishy.... And it's in my "house...." (It's everywhere!)

It looks like ppl could really get along from these pics, and I smell a rat. devil2

I go @ my world every day and do this....

My whole life was a failure bc of ppl like Elizabeth stopping and saying they were the ones who didn't get any attention. (Which doesn't mean the actress.)

Sigh, it just makes you wonder why that black spot appears when it does. Does it just randomly show up? Does it show up when Jack is intensely scared or angry or in this case turned on? I think it was just a good cop-out for the writers to build suspense until the actual kiss.

I thought Curiosity was as close as we would get to them kissing and maybe they would in the third movie. The commentary on DMC seems to suggest that one member of T&T (I think Ted) thinks Elizabeth would not have allowed Jack to go any further but the other (I think Terry) says he feels Elizabeth really wanted him to kiss her. I personally think she would have let him kiss her, but would have caught herself and either slapped him or break away awkwardly. Any thoughts? Oh, and by thoughts, I mean relevant ones by coherent people.

Haha... I know! Stupid plot devices.

Whichever of the writers didn't think she would have let him kiss her is in denial about women. She was begging for it. I reckon we would have had a much bigger J/E problem on our hands if 1. the black spot hadn't appeared at that moment and 2. they hadn't reached the island at that moment. Because Elizabeth was a mite liqueured up, she and Jack were in a compromising position, and she looked like she wanted him to take her right there. I think she would have not only let him kiss her but enjoyed it, and supposing she had the willpower to break away, she wouldn't have flipped out about it right away either.

In the event they had another day or so together before reaching the island, we sparrabethers may have been made exceedingly happy. The curiosity conversation basically confirms that.

The movie does seem to imply that Liz joined up with the Pearl at night and they got to the island by at least the following afternoon. But then the Pearl is pretty fast, so that might be realistic as far as POTC goes, lol.

I think she wanted him to kiss her. Keira has described Elizabeth in DMC as figuring out who she is and developing an interesting relationship with Jack.

Bigger sparrabeth problems? What do you mean? Do you mean like if they had kissed and had a very passionate moment that Elizabeth or Jack might withdraw completely from the other? It really is like a It's a Wonderful Life pondering: what would life be like if...

No black spot/no sighting of land
1. I think they would have kissed and what a kiss it would have been. They would have broken apart, looked into each other's eyes, asking silently, "is this what you want right now," and continued. Probably Norrington or Gibbs would have interrupted them and then Elizabeth would run off and think about Will.

No black spot/sighting of land
1. They would have kissed and someone would have shouted "land!" Elizabeth would go off-screen like in the movie and Jack would have been confused and frazzled enough to crave his jar of dirt like in the movie. The movie probably would have gone on as it did because there really isn't time to think about feelings until the kiss of death scene. Thoughts?

Black spot/no sighting of land
1. Hell, if Jack just stopped because of the black spot and Elizabeth said, "I'm proud of you, Jack," (hint the disappointed tone), he might have been tempted enough to change his mind and just go for it. How sexy that would have been.

Sexy as hell. Oh dear God. It would have been freaking gorgeous.

I think what I meant by problems, are, that Elizabeth may have pushed her relationship with Jack much further than it ever actually got in the films, thus making it that much harder for her to pull out and go back to Will. You know what I mean?

Public Announcement: You have to notice that these stand out, that Jack really likes her and she must really like him....

This guy instant messaged me on MySpace recently. I thought he was 19, but he was 41. He was just talking about going out and constantly asking if I would make out. Then, he kept asking if he was too old, too old to go out with me. I kept answering, "No, I like to go out with older ppl." Enough said? Basically, I said, "I like to talk to older people," is all.

If you are interested, the part that really "gets" me is that I really like to talk to older people. I really like being with younger people, but I am always embarrassed at the generation prejudices in which I could not make myself appear different. Part of the problem is that the way they look is marked by things that stand out as too sexy for us. I know now that they don't feel funny at all. They are just trying to hypnotize us. (Ah! Uh-oh, "spaghetti-os....."😉 I assume everyone has problems but that this is surely not it. Of course, the parents had those problems. I don't see why they could even happen to have kids, then, in that case, over myself, and people, if there are any, like myself.

The part that would be useful is if this 41-year-old guy knew this about me because I said so in a way but not enough to say that I said it. We should try it somehow sometime. We could get a lot of money for this kind of thing, similar to interviewing people in things like film about their opinions on child stars, especially if they are in a way similar to their own children.

I'm not sure, but I think I said nothing about it almost before he said that, about that I like being with older people when I do. If not, I said, "I like being with older people a lot" and that "I am usually with younger people," probably because I suspected that he was indeed younger.

Sorry to be a spoiler--the black spot showed up when Davy Jones attention was turned to Jack--He had postponed it when he left Will on board, then Will got away from Davy Jones and so it was an all bets are off sort of re-establishing Jack's IOU to Davy Jones. Jack didn't know Will was off the Dutchman, he just knew that the Kracken was back on his tail and he had to redouble his efforts to find the heart. Sorta Maslow's hierarchy of needs--sex gets bumped if you don't have what is required to survive. Although, the girl was pretty much the ripe peach for kissing somebody, somewhere, somehow. She was working Jack much as he was working her.

Kate, I think there still would have been a triangle at the end of DMC. I mean, Princess Leia flat-out said she loved Han and people still sort of wondered how things would go in the next Star Wars movie. A triangle would have definitely stayed if she still chained him to the mast.

Then Will could spend a lot of AWE trying to sort things out with her. It really would have made more sense to put her with Jack after that since she and Will were drifitng apart all throughout AWE and their marriage was ruined before it was even consummated. I hate to think of Will alone, but who's to say he won't pick up some woman in a shipwreck and make her a part of his crew and fall in love with her instead? Proximity is a huge factor in deciding who we love and he could actually be the one to dump Liz.

I didn't know they'd stick that in there, maybe.

When sex gets bumped off, you feel stimulated in a m*********** way. That is why I do not like sex, at all. Uh-oh-"spaghettios." Ik. Well, not quite like that = enough said for now. It helped to break some of my fondness of having the human body.

I like that topic: "It's in the trees!" or "Where did sex come in on your list, exactly?"

IGNORE ME.

what's happening?! A DEBATE?!

GAH! security breach!

just kidding. um.. carry on? Just offering a drop...let... of hilarity........ if i succeeded, AWEsome, if not, hey, that's another post to add to my post count, or that's another... post that sliced off the conversation a bit.

sorry, i'm nuts.

carry on... 😄

Did you guys know that Gore Verbinski admitted that AWE wasn't all he wanted it to be! He said their were too many characters and plots that a 3 hour movie simply could not handle, leaving unanswered questions!

We've known this since the movie came out...but for Gore to come out and say it....must be something that haunts him til this very day! *cough* Sparrabeth! *cough*

I wonder if the black spot is a mood ring and if only certain people will indeed react a certain way. I think he gets it when he feels antsy really.

I do not know that Elizabeth Swann is old enough to really feel romance with Jack like that, however. Something is missing from this picture, and it isn't that she is too young for something herself in a certain way.

Anamaria is about five years older. It makes me ask many questions that I am still asking.

(I am hungry! When the kitchen is cleared...., chinese food tonight! (I'm 1/2 Chinese but don't feel at all Chinese and never looked nor felt so. I am not racist, but I don't want to be.. probably what that means. That unfortunately, happy for me, means the other 1/2 is European.))

You have to really understand the topic already.

It's such a popular show, too: the pressure, that he must feel....

oh trust me....Jaeh understands the Topic more than u!

I wasn't reading, actually. It's just... basically, a vain attempt on bringing back the... bringing back the what? haven't been gone long enoung for things around here to take a twist for the so-called bizarre. or... was I?

no one really talks that way anymore... at least i don't think so.

um, carry on again? I'm just trying to... um... ahh.... what am i trying to do anyway again? oh, mess everything up and let hilarity ensue once again.

sooo... totally off topic on what you guys are talking about but still in the protective bubble of the main topic of this thread, any new sparrabeth pics to squeal at? sorry, I'm kinda bored.

oh, and to diva's post that is in accordance(or some other word) to what gore said, i totally agree.
I wonder what happened to AWE... everything was... messed up. except for some AWEsome parts.... i mean, instead of answering our DMC induced questions, it just gave us more... *shrug*

member bashing, that's all she ever does - where did that fit in?

BFL

why does she not feel she could get kicked off? then she can never come back

I know!! I think Pirates 3 would have been much better off split into 2 movies a Pirates 3 and 4 and perhaps that way they would have included a little more explantion on Sparrabeth and more Sparrabethy scenes 🙁

and BFL means...

and... and... that post meant...

can someone shed some light on this endless void of confusion pooling in my mind? *giggles* I said Pool... poole.. riley poole. sorry, off topic, the craziness of my new obsession *cough* Riley/NT *cough* washed over me for a moment there.

sidenote, did my sig change or anything? i uploaded something new, and my computer ain't showing it.

And why would you want to know what BFL means?

Public Announcement: Your siggy is this kind of:

Jack: Leave the hat! Han: That bad, huh?

Eat my Stardust! >>Thanks to savvysparrowluv for my AWEsome avvy!
Force be with ye all mates!

because if someone else uses that again, I won't have to ask people what it means.. it's a new addition to my ever-expanding 'vocabulary'.. 😄

GAH. it's not working. need to edit a few things.
