When it's otherwise it's mentioned, if it's not mentioned and all we are given is REALITY, then it's referring to a UNIVERSE.

What he was doing was creating spatial holes into different realities, Wanda had no part in this (show me 1 scan that even hints at Wanda having anything to do with Genis's power.)
Here is him doing this after HOM. Genis can exist in the past present and Future, and can open holes into any of them.
Each aperture is from a different time and space.
Another explanation of what happened. "Doors to different Spacial or temporal realities."
And he does this with the Photonic energy he got from Zemo (not Wanda).
Eventually Genis will destroy the universe because of his Photonic Energy (not because of Wanda.)
