I have a hard time believing this movie is going to be "good" or Ironman quality. First of all, they are just recycling enemies. For **&'s sake, Superman has 75 years of history, you think they would be able to pull out a villain who is new and fresh. Instead, we get a reboot, with the same story-line except they are trying to make it modern. Take a moment to think about that, look at other reboots like Hulk/IH, and Spiderman with the Amazing Spiderman. Reboots with NEW story-lines and NEW villains.
Also, I just wanted to point out how bad Kevin's accting has become. When he tells Clark, "you are my son", his face resembles that of Kristen Steward; emotionless, and plain
I really hope this movie does numbers similar to that of Batman Begins in the box office. Anything higher is wishful thinking. I do have hope in synder. Despite what some might say, I was pleased with how he is able to portray fight scenes in almost all his movies (300, suckerpunch, watchmen). I'm hoping that the script follows a bit like Batman Begins and that of TDK. By that I mean, it should establish a time period before and after becoming Superman, as well as explore both Superman and the man Clark Kent. They really have to find a way to make people feel as if they can relate to Superman. That 70's style with Superman looking like a tool shouldn't be used again. And as far as TDK goes, they really need to have a spot light on the Villain in different ways much like how Joker and two-faced were shown.

I just wanted to comment that by looks of the views and likes on youtube, and the fact that this is a big character, I actually believe this will be quite a bit more grandiose than you can imagine $$ wise.
And Snyder+Goyer can write a villain.
I haven't seen it yet.

Not comparable really. Those two rebooted franchises that started a decade ago. Superman is rebooting a franchise that is over 3 decades old. Also, saying that is will have the same storyline is a massive assumption.

Not really. Considering the hype it will presumably pull numbers comparable to Amazing Spider-man. And it should easily pull more than Begins considering how "hot" the Superhero genre is currently and, of course, 3D ticket prices.

What about the new Batman movies using Joker, Two-Face, Bane and Catwoman again?

I don't see how using Zod again is a bad thing, Its only the second time compared to Lex Luthor how many times they've used him.
I was skeptical about Zod at first. Because it just seemed like the movie makers were not aware of any villains except those from the original films.
But I've got over that. I think Zod will work well for the origin story. Plus if they use Zod now they'll have to use different villains for sequels.
