There is nothing that can touch it this summer
Even though all the early reviews of MOS have been tremendously positive (One review said it was movie of the year), I would still take every word with a grain of salt. Jim Lee did say it was epic and even made him cry, but he works for WB, so he doesn't count. 😛

Truth be told, I can't seem to remember any music from Avengers.
There was this one song from Thor that I liked quite a bit, don't remember if it was supposed to be Thor's theme or a general Asgard theme or what.
And yeah Star Spangled Man was untouchable.

At least its not another review from Kevin Smith with his fanboy hyping it up.

YouTube videoWhatever Superman's theme is going to be in this new one, I just hope its about as good as that.
That's the only proper superhero theme I can think of from modern movies.
Don't like the Batman scores? I was also very impressed with the new Ironman 3 theme.
Anyway, since this is Zimmer it's doubtful we will get any memorable marches or fanfares but rather just a very solid score.

Dayum. If this movie is as good as its trailers...I may consider a sig change.* I love the Surfer: he suits the cosmic wanderer in me, the explorer of reality. But that's just it: he is an explorer first, defender second.
Superman is first and foremost a defender: he does not fly off to explore the wonders of existence, he stays, putting other's needs first.
*As much as I like the new supersuit...flying standing up, being like half-man/half-starship, is still the boss.

No, didn't like the new Batman scores, I didn't hate them either, but not memorable at all. Haven't seen Iron Man 3 yet.
Hans Zimmer's work on Pirates of The Caribbean was probably my favorite work of his. The main theme is very memorable there.

This pretty much states why Superman is different from every other superhero. He is not just the icon and namesake of the genre; he is the modern incarnation of the Hero archetype, the best in each of us, "the ideal" given form.Dayum.
