Mistake/accident. Tomato/tomato.

I have seen Seinfeld, not regularly, but anytime i did see it Kramer's schizophrenic antics never made laugh.

And he is a hypocrite of the worst kind by not only lying to the public about not being a racist but by lying to himself as well.

He sure is and he's pretty pathetic too.

Actually, how FOTN put it, that wouldn't make him a hypocrite, it would make him just a liar.

I keep saying this, I doubt any kkk-lov'n person will apologize for calling a minority any name. Kramer is not racist. What about his hecklers? Calling him "cracker", and yeah, he was pulling his ear to say "I can hear you silly" but they kept on using racial perjoratives.

What's hypocritical is the heckler(s) who used racial slurs at a white person (or Jewish, close enough) and wants him to apologize for returning the favor. That's irony!!

Wow.

As explained numerous times you're a racist. The first step is admitting you have a problem.

he's prejudice against white racists.
a black racist is just a 'victim' now, apparently

There isn't any hypocrisy in them wanting an apology. You need to count how many times he called them a Ni**** and used racial slurs at them before one of them decided to come back and call him a cracka.

and so i will ask AGAIN for all the cowards who wont answer the question:

if he was called a "cracka" and responded by calling them "n*****s"
would he then be in the right? according to the logic of everyone damning him and defending the poor victims, that would be the case, correct?

Prolly not.

"Cracker" carries far less "weight" than "******."

(Too many quotation marks ruin a sentence, methinks.)

true, however one must also consider that the lack of a more harsh word does not entail justification for using it. what i mean is, that guy didnt have to censor himself. he threatened him and called him a racial slur...just unloaded without care of being labeled a racist or anything...not for a second did he have to think "oh i cant say that because its too offensive".

so, a black man does just that and its ok, or at least not racist. a white guy does it and he's the scum of the earth.

Le sigh.

So I guess you guys are arguing the difference between politically correct and just plain correct. Yes, it's politically correct for a black man on stage to call anyone anything he wants, but let a white man do it and it's the second coming. The guy was pissed at being heckled and spoke according to his standards. If it were a black guy calling an audience member a cracker, or a honky, or whatever, it would be fine. In fact the crowd would laugh. However, this guy was calling him a ****** for purely harmful reasons. So, that makes it wrong I guess.

Bottom line, in my opinion, "Kramer" saying ****** on stage is no different than a black man calling another black man ****** or a gay man calling another gay man a ******. Sure, teh dividing line is all in intent, but a word can't be wrong one moment and right the next. On that note, if we're outlawing the use of words or phrases for the sake of political correctness, then I think the phrase "know what I mean?" should be banned from all black verbage. All it does is make the person who says it sound like an idiot. Granted, not the first time, but after the tenth time it does. If the black people in this country want to be taken at face value, then fine...I'm all for it. But if they don't, then don't act like you should be. Being able to clearly express what you think to the listening audience is important. And the listening audience in this country don't respect the fact that you can't finish a statement without asking if I understand what you're saying. Because I can't. I'm no longer listening to what you have to say when you repeat "know what I'm sayin'" two dozen times.

Be ready for a possible barrage of "RACIST!" 'this' or 'that' from the double-standard asshats in here...

I've been ready for it since I joined.

see, this is what gets me. I'm conisdered a godless liberal by so many, but I'm not liberal at all. Yeah, I might be a fascist; but I'm a just fascist. And that makes all the difference.

A gay fascist... That I will never understand. "Know what I sayin'"

No he just likes to hide behind the whole "I hate racists not white people." thing. I dislike racists - I'm not of the opinion that Michael Richards is one; he is however somewhat stupid. FotN is just generally racist in that he makes prejudicial assumptions that white people are either overtly or covertly racist, and this is an inborn white person trait.

the funny thing is that black comedians diss whites left and right. but you get a white guy dissing blacks and the world stops.

Yeah, if the movie "Original Kings of Comedy" was done by Adam Sandler, Jeff Foxworthy, and Rodney Dangerfield, Watts would have to put their police on alert once again.

im of the thought that we all should have to practice restraint. either that or we all should have the freedom to indulge our satisfaction.

with that said, that guy deserved to be called a n*****. if it was a woman she should have been called a c***. if he was gay he should have been called a f*****.

if your only business is to go to a show and ruin it for everyone to feel superior, and spend all that time being nothing more than an obnoxious pecker, and there is a single word which can piss you off to the same degree as you willingly pissed them off.....im all for it

Did Michael Richards (Kramer) sound like he was joking? Was it part of his act, or was he just in a rage that spilled out racist insults?
