Well, since they retain the memories from previous matches...and nobody made an attempt to tackle it...they still would have the memories even if it would not work on this case. Or so I think.
That's ridiculous.
So, if I, somewhere, just casually slipped in my team suddenly gaining the martial arts experience of Karate Kid and the magical expertise of Doc Strange, and the team in round 1 ignored it, I would AUTOMATICALLY have all of Val's and Stephen's experience?

Sounds like bullshit to me. I think that if something is contestable, it shouldn't matter whether it was contested previously or not. 😬.

It would also mean that the teams whose opponents didn't appear would be able to get away with anything throughout the whole tourney.
Luckily for us, there's nothing we've claimed that isn't possible for our team.
🙂
i was speaking of this bit scoob:
"Only one problem ace. We retain knowledge of our past tourney matches (I already checked this with BD). The soul-link happened last match. If you were our round 1 opponent, maybe this would have some weight. Right now, it doesn't have any."
that's what sol and i are getting at. digi seems to allude to the idea that THIS part of your plan MAY have been . . . attackable (??) . . . but because it slipped by the first rd it is automatically all right THIS rd.
i agree with YOUR stance: that would mean if someone did NOT fight in the first rd, anything they said would be available next rd. it would also mean if someone fought a team who . . . wasn't very smart or knew very little about characters, that pretty much ANYTHING could be slipped by and made ok for later in the tournament.
if a hole is found and a team wants to exploit it, it shouldn't matter that the strategy passed the first rd. new judges, new teams. no guarantee a similar strategy should work. 😬

But their argument was that the soul link was physically taxing on our team, not that it wouldn't work.So even if they're right and it WAS physically taxing, it was taxing in round 1 because we don't have to repeat the soul-link in round 2.
It's a moot point.
🙄
And to be honest, if they did find it taxing after the first round, then all subsequent info could be shared by Space Phantom via Nate grey.

Ahh, yes, I've been expecting for this round. 😄And hehe, after reading the prep scenarios...we better not recieve any more complaints about OUR characters being too powerful. 😛
If anyone complains next match that we made our team too uber, my expression will be as follows
😐
Right before I show them Battle #6 😐

We were about the only ones who weren't concerned with your team from the start.
...so no worries. When we win this round ( 😛 ) we won't be complaining about your power levels...we'll just be bringing you back down to nromal levels (i.e. dead).
