Speaking of our match, do we know who the judges are yet? Because, ya know...it kinda ends Monday.
And I'm fine with a slower match....after our whirlwind round 1 it's a nice change of pace.

I'd tend to agree, though Atom was your best pick imo. Scoob and I seriously considered him for a while. It might have been possible to smuggle Genis into Round 3, since I'd rather debate for him than BRB. But again, that's me.

Regardless of whether or not Scoob and I win this round, I PM'd BD to request that 5 judges be used for the finals rather than a poll.
I can't see who votes in polls as a mod, but with the recent socking nonsense, my Mod-ship might haunt me if people are voting against me because I'm trying to get them banned....and it's feasible that 1 angry sock could vote multiple times.
And beyond that, goober has understandable reasons for not being able to post, and I have nothing but respect for the 2 of them. But they've gotten about 10 of their 13 poll votes in the last few days, and haven't posted once during that time.
It seems...slanted...to put it mildly. And I get the feeling lots of those votes are from people who didn't bother to read the entire battle. I'd much rather just have the 5th judge.

What if people voted having read the matches when they did? The teams didnt not necessarily have to have been posting in the past few days for them to get an idea of what is happening and voting from there 😬
That said, I could care less which way the voting happens for the finals. Either way works for me

No, I understand. And yes, I'm sure some do read everything. But the potential is always there, and we eliminate possible bias and/or misinformation with a 5th judge.
...and please understand, it's not because of the current match. We're losing the poll, and I'm fine with that. I just want to help things out for the future. You have to admit that it seem a bit odd though, even though bran/goober don't necessarily have to be posting to get legitimate votes.

Indeed.
I will point out, however, that I was the first tournament director to actually implement judges rather than simply using a poll or in-thread voting. So I'm not completely oblivious to these things.

But yeah, I don't recognize him either....the naem sounds vaguely familiar though, so he's probably been around for a least a bit.
