There's also something to be said for having 2 sets of ideas. Anyone who made it far didn't do it with 1 person alone, and I think the finalists from the last partner tourney can say the same.

To more serious matters, I have been re-reading our match, and I noticed that Digi has been referencing our attacks on SP and talking about them (not that much, but enough). I would like the judges to not use whatever Digi said as reference material when deciding for this match.
I would also like to add, that while probably not done on purspose, there is at least one post where Digi edited his post after the 15 min mark. His post was at 3:10 and he edited it at 3:33.
edit: After just checking again, there is another post edited almost two hours later 😐

I'm not cheating bud. It goes against everything I believe in.
I've done that a few times to copy/paste the same scans into subsequent posts. Hell, there might be one or two that I "edit" a day later. I normally start working on my next post well before I post it, so there's a constant process of putting together a post...
I could just quote it and do the same thing, but it takes longer because it takes you to a new screen (editing doesn't)....so it's quicker for me.
Besides, I have like 4 posts left. If I wanted to say something else, I could just post it in one of those. I don't need to edit things into previous posts.
No conspiracies.

Also, I'm a moderator before I'm a tourney participant. A chance at losing the trust of both my friends and the forum isn't worth it, no matter what the cost would be. So you have nothing to worry about....such thoughts never even cross my mind, and I was the one that, at the beginning of the tourney, first mentioned that I'll be limiting myself to the normal 15 minute edit time limit.

...this is why, when I first became a Mod, I swore off tourneys. Lana competing in sig tourneys convinced me that maybe I could do it, but there's been struggles.
- Needing to watch every single thing I do, or be accused of cheating, because I have powers that normal members don't.
- Having to guard against a backlash if people don't believe me.
- Socks PMing me to say that they're going to vote against me in polls just to spite me (which is why I pushed for 5 judges for the finals...bran/goober legitimately won that poll, but if it had been closer it might have made a difference).
- Having to balance my duties as a Mod with those of a tourney participant.
I talked to Blair personally, so hopefully this is resolved (I haven't heard back).
Hell, I was voluntarily PMing participants about tourney info early on so that we'd all be on a level playing field. If I had done anything that would be considered unfair or cheating, I would have turned myself in.
I love these tourneys, but it'll probably be years again before I even think about entering another, because all of this can be great, but it's also very draining to have to deal with.
{edit} I checked the post in question. I was fixing a typo (Physics) because I had spelled Psychics by accident, instead of simply reposting it. And BW/DC's next posts came in tandem quite a bit later, so I couldn't have even been changing something in response to their later posts. And the one that was only a few minutes after the 15 minute period that everyone else has was a dead link that I fixed (again, to save clutter instead of reposting).
Again, blessing and a curse...I was doing something that meant less clutter in the thread, and it comes back to haunt me.
