multi-rings are fine imo. i leave it to the participants to PROVE that multi-rings actually increases the power of a gl . . . 😉aside from pre-c supes, (and i assume darkseid even though it is almost accepted as common knowledge nowadays that thanos would curbstomp darkseid . . . 😖hifty: ) do we have a list of banned characters yet? that would save time in the draft . . .
or, and bigz -- anyone can join. just need to find yourself a partner. 😉
that's something i was wondering about as well. personally, i didn't like when WE were allowed to do it. i'd personally vote to disallow ring creation, but even if others voted the other way, it still falls upon the participant to come up with a good reason why his or her characters would be proficient rather than being simply another green arrow . . .

To me, it seems like a violation of the construct rule. Since the rings would be used by teammates rather than the GL who created them, they would be independent of the GL(and thus be independent constructs, even though they're under the control of his team members). And since they're herald level items, that would mean that they'd be herald level constructs, which are a no no for this tourney. Basically, allowing that tactic will make just about everyone feel the need to have a GL on their side. I mean, who WOULDN'T want Juggernaut, with the ability to fly and react at light speeds, with shields that could block telepathy? But that's just my take on it.

Show one scan of a GL reacting at light speed and someone else will show ten where they can't.😐
The matches should be based on the character as a whole ... not just him/her on his/her best day.
I agree that the people arguing for their character should use the best feats they can find... but the other teams should also use whatever they can to show that that character can't pull out those feats on a regular basis.... both showings should be valid.

(By the way, I agree with you on the conflicting evidence thing. Like I said, I think it should go by averages)

All feats are valid.
Everyone has a 10 post limit though... if people want to waste it on bickering it's up to them.
I'd say just let each side post what they want and have the judges/voters decide which group is giving the more realistic interpretation of the character in question.

Pretty much.
Post here - http://www.killermovies.com/forums/f95/t431189.html - if you don't have a partner yet

abso-friggin'-lutely. 😄 and you're right that arrow injured sinestro, but it wa sa minor wound and it took him a long time and a LOT of effort (ie--he couldn't do anything in the meantime . . .) to shape that next-to-worthless arrow. and arrow has a pretty strong will considering some of the scrapes he's been in.
all's i'm saying is that it should be encumbent upon the participant to prove their character has the willpower to do anything substantial with the ring. there was (as far as i'm aware) not even any evidence that the ring would aupt-protect arrow AND he was exhausted after his little showing.
but don't forget -- i'm against the create-a-ring strategy. goober said the same thing i said in the last tourny: if it IS allowed, it makes NOT having a gl on your side an ENORMOUS (almost insurmountably enormous) disadvantage.
i vote no ring creation. 🙂
