Yeah, I think there's a confirmation thread. And matches should start circa the 7th.

Hopefully he wont post the matchups until after the confirmation thread .... we don't want people to tailor make their team specifically for their first match.

Unless Batdude explains why he suddenly bans Keeper when he already DID give us prior Tourney the permission to use him, and didn't tell us beforehand so we could find a suitable replacement, that is just unfair. Keeper is below Thanos.

i'll disagree he is below thanos, but that's neither here nor there -- not my tourney, not my competition. my point is, at least one other team HAD considered picking keeper and bats told THEM they couldn't. so, in light of that, it would actually be unfair if he allowed you to 'keep' him. 😬

had bats ok'd him for both you AND the other team, then you could have fairly raced to see who got him first, but since the other team was told no . . .

when bats nixed him for the other team, he should have told you, no doubt about it -- or told the other team YES then you could have seen who was lucky enough to get him first. unfortunately, that didn't happen. it's really not fair to have him say no to one team but not the other. imho. 🙁

He is below Thanos on everything you can really name besides speed. If you compare his feats to Thanos's feats, you notice that Thanos has far more impressive ones.

Banning him would be unfair. I don't know why Batdude handled it like this, but it is wrong.

But it is not our fault, we did not know that this was the case. We drafted a pick that was ok'd. Hell, even if he was banned from us, I would have showed the feats he has done, then compared them with Thanos's. Batdude first said that one of the characters we asked him is too poweful, I proved him (with all the feats the has done), that he isn't, and he allowed it. We changed from him to Black Alice, but we would have been able to draft the other character too. I always research the picks I draft beforehand, Batdude knows a lot, but none of us know all.

I have every single appearence of Keeper, I've seen every single feat that Silver Surfer has ever done, and I have seen Quasar's feats too. Keeper is not Thanos level.

No, but the fairness of that decision, even if the whole thing was handled wrongly should not ban character completely from the tourny if he is of the appropriate power level.

While you may disagree, and Scoobless most vehemently does, he has shown no evidence to be ABOVE Thanos, therefore even if BD misinformed one team, he should not still be banned just because of that misinformation 😬

And it was not our fault, and we should not be held liable because of it. It would be unfair to us to ban him so late in the drafting game when so early on we were given the green light on a character that has been shown not to be above thanos by us

i'm not holding either of you responsible for the error. there is simply no getting around the fact that bats nixed him and prevented another team from having the chance to take him. that essentially freed him up and allowed to to unfairly grab him uncontested.

i'll keep my opinion that keeper=>thanos, (and i'm . . . quite confident i could prove it, were i taking part . . .) but that has nothing to do with WHY i think he should be banned. i think he should be disallowed purely because bats screwed over another team in allowing you the chance to take him, but not them. has nothing to do at this point with whatever you feel his level is.

of course, we all know how much weight my opinion carries in these things. 😬

Keeper was our pick from the beginning...I am pretty sure that Batdude ok'd it before he said that to Scoob, but I can be wrong too.

if that's the case, that makes it even WORSE. i'd assume THEY asked first then he changed his mind . . .

meh. i wash my hands of it. his mess, he can fix it. of course, i may have the story wrong, and there really isn't a mess to begin with.

...so...where is Batdude anyway? I don't think he has posted to these threads in days...

Alright, I understand that I have made some mistakes with this whole "Keeper" situation, and I apologize for it. However, when BW and DC pmed me, all they told me was that the Keeper was basically Norrin in a future timeline who was more powerful, but under Thanos. I had no clue about him, and I couldn't find any information on him, so I accepted him in the tourney based on their description of him.

Then, about a week later, Scoobs pmed me and said that he thought the Keeper was too powerful, and he didn't really want him in the first place. He simply told me that if anyone were to ask me about him, he should be nixed on the spot. He also told me that it was basically Silver Surfer + Quasar.... so I got a bit sceptical. I didn't know what the final decision was anyway, and I wasn't going to make one unless I got some proof first.

It was then that DC PROVED that Keeper is below Thanos with scans of his appearances. He's shown Thanos' levels of powers against Odin, Tyrant, and others. Based on that alone.... the Keeper is ALLOWED in the tourney. 🙂
