Yess....cause she wanted to go back for a second kiss but realized the job was done and if she kissed him again she wouldnt be able to Justify it...cause she had already shackled him!!!

But the script called for so much less. It was up to the actors to do the rest. True, I don't know what the writers/director wanted to have happen, but the way a scene is played is just as important as what's in the script.

Jack looks into her eyes, desiring her all the more, knowing her true heart is the same as his. Elizabeth can't hold his gaze.

Elizabeth: It's after you, not the ship ... not us. It's the only way. (she looks up) I'm not sorry.

Jack nods accepting the fate, the logic of what she has done. He says -- with some admiration --

Jack: Pirate.

The word stings Elizabeth.

Is this from the script or the novelization?

Hmm, that's pretty descriptive for a script. It still backs up what I said. The behind the scenes people of POTC aren't blind to what's going on between Jack and Liz. They know as well as we do and that can't just be ignored.

It still proves my point even if that's the script. Everyone behind the scenes isn't blind to what's going on between Jack and Liz and something like that just can't be ignored.
