Well okay learn something new every day if you try--in this part of the world Roux (or as I spell my gatito's name Reaux.com) is the base for gumbo. Now anybody knows you can put just about anything in a gumbo (NOT OKRA--though that's what gumbo means) and so when you said Roux, well, my mind left the sweet treats and started drifting along with file' (Fe-lay), onions, nice tomatoes and big juicy shrimp and sweet blue crabs. All warm and spicy 😮💨 , a good crunchy bread....in what passes for cold weather down here (ha, it's almost 54 here, 80 on Sunday), well, a different twist on it all.
Although, the strawberries have those anti-oxidents, and you need to have a certain amount of dairy products daily, and chocolate you need becos else there would be no reason to breathe 🙄 --had no idea that roux is also truffles ( 😛 think I just found my next pet name--or gnoche, the icing on brownies etc)oh, oh, and strawberries are such a nice finger food and delightful in their texture.
Drizzle 😱 , yes Savvy! now there's a word worth holding onto. And caramel...oh, yeah, early onset diabetics...but so worth every, well....
