Having read the thread before the ban occurred, I'd say it didn't look like a joke.

And he didn't exactly have the best track record here, anyway.

I completely agree, this argument even occurred on a past site I was modding on a month ago or so. "We all post here, and without us you wouldn't have a forum, so we get to say what happens!" That's not how it works. You know?

I think that vinny might be a pawn to the upper society. Good moderators follow the will of the people, and are probably less serious about their jobs then wd. Since I didn't know the guy, I don't really care.

chillmeistergen, while I have never had a problem with him, has been warned and banned on numerous occasions for his attitude. I took his comment as non-jokingly.

As far as the mods being "nazis" and "corrupt", I say that if you follow the rules, then you have nothing to b*tch about. I'm probably the most lenient moderator here, and I always do what needs to be done.

Basically, it comes down to this. It's a privately owned website that no one has a right to use.

I'm not saying anything about the ban. Just the whole entitled attitude in general that a lot of people seem to have. If rules are broken, you lose the privilege of using the site.

And as someone brought up freedom of speech in one of the other threads - several problems with that. For starters, you have no actual rights or freedoms online, and what you can and can't do is solely up to the owners of the websites you use. Secondly, freedom of speech does NOT mean that you can say whatever you want, and certainly not that you can say/do what you want without consequence.
