I will say it. If it's Mar-vell. I'm dropping every single Marvel title except The Ultimate universe, and the good x-titles. He died a memerable death and if he comes back after staying dead 26 years. I'm done with Marvel Comics. 😐

Marvell should stay dead. Starlin said he never wanted to bring him back.

And yes bringing him back does cheapen his character. Having Marvell die was a huge deal and they should have the balls to keep him that way.

Genis is coming back.

Edited the thread title to avoid possible spoilers. Besides, this could be Hulk, Thor, Marvel, etc.

When is the civil war series supposed to end?

Pretty soon right?

well most of the Marvel writters said CW would end before summer was over, so your guess is as good as mine.

IMO Civil War is dragging on a bit too much, but hopefully "The Return" will make it worth while.

seriously whats the diffrence between Marvel's Return and Nate Grey Returns in 2006? well what im saying is oh never mind...

The Hulk? Thor? This is obviously the return of captain marvel. Whether it be genis-vell, Mar-vell, or the new one Marvel has hinted at. The logo is the logo of Captain marvel. Not Thor. So that doesn't make any sense. Now i won't mind Genis comin back. The way he died was despicable for a character that I like and that's why I dropped the thunderbolts title. Sorry to rant like this. But both Captain marvels are in my top 5 favorite marvel heroes.

OH no your right i felt the same about his death and reacted the same way!!!, I actually want Genis to come back, I mean its not all that out of his reach to come back from death. Zemo split his body parts in diff universes doesnt necsisarily mean hes dead, he split him cuz he knew he would jut come back. Whos to say Genis doesnt find himself?

i hated his last words. "Oh no give me a second chance." It made me cringe. Damn you Niceiza! Don't get me wrong he's done some good work on Cable and X-force. ut it seemed like he did the THunderbolts to the lack of his best ability. Especially with Genis

Nate Grey's return is in a What If...

regardless the 5 most popular choices to people are as followed

Mar-vell
Genis-vell
Marvel Boy
Hulkling(haven't read young avengers laltly so i don know if he's out)
Rick Jones. I don't beleive but, I've heard some stories

I know that almost everyone hates bringing characters back from the dead but I implore you to think of me and others like me.

Captain Marvel (the first) died 26 years ago. I'm only 22. I never had a chance to learn to love this character. All I know is that he was a great hero and he died of cancer. And you know what most new readers arn't going to search around for old back issues and trades of a character they don't really know and is not going to do anything in the future anyway.

So think about it. 26 years of readers with no idea who this hero was or why he was so great.

If you like him so much then why do are you so adament that he stay unknown to everyone who was not of age to know him?

Is it so bad to for the new readers to get to love Captain Marvel?

I know I want to get to know him or her.

Dont Jinx it you fool!!! Im seriously wanting him to come back! Nothings wrong with and old "and missed" hero to return. I wana see how he takes the change Marvel Universe has taken, and how his children have been treated! Much ass to be kicked once he comes back.

Well DC brought back Jason Todd and Then Marvel brought back Bucky and I dont see why not bring back the original Captain Marvel since DC brought back Hal Jordan as GL.

Yeah, bringing back Hal sucked ass though.

It's totally against the character to bring him back, he accepted his fate. He tried to fight death for a while, but realised that he'd never defeat it so gave in. When thanos revived him he told him he didn't want to live.

Bringing him back would make a mockery of that, I'd rather he stay dead.

What makes you so sure that he wants to be back? What if the story involves him coming back to a world he longer wanted to be a part of, to circumstances he's not used to and forcing him a make decisions he doesn't want to? How does he cope with life he no longer wants and will he stand up and be the hero he's remembered as? I think it could make for an excellent story

Makes me so sure he wants to be back? 😕 that he doesnt? because he said so himself, he accepted his death. It might make for a good story, doesn't mean I'll approve of it though.

Genis coming back would be nice. Other people have suggested that it's gonna be Speedball that will be the next Captain Marvel.

Speedball is now the T.Bolt called Pennance.
