"I have failed you Anakin... I have failed you.." Was Obi Wan correct ?

Thats a non-cannon interpretation.

I agree that the force is not a creature, but it is sentient.

How can the force have a will if it is not sentient?

What is it then? Does it have intelligence?

It's an...... essence of God.

It IS God.

ONE God.

The force can shift from light to dark. The is only THE force.

Obviously it can be used for good or bad. And it seems to grant other powers, or maybe I should say the usage of the Force changes.

Obi-Wan was responsible for Anakin in the Jedi's point of view. Although in the prequels I saw little of hubris I thought I might see when in ROTJ Obi told Luke "I thought I could train him just as well as Yoda, I was wrong." It was more of a deathbed promise than hubris.

The force itself shifts. So says the films.

in a way, Obi-Wan failed Anakin. he didn't see... even only a bit.. the path Anakin is taking.. but then... he's only human...

But in a way too, Anakin failed himself. he chose poorly, and that ain't the teacher's fault.

I blame the Force.

Had it chosen Anakin(a) to be girl instead, all would be fine.

No balls, no sex, no pergnancy, no problem.

😂

But what if "she" met up with a guy and got pregnant, that would be a little harder to hide...

LIke OB1 as a father?

😑

Like Darman and Etain.

No, you guys are seeming to get lightside and darkside mixed up. Allow me to clear this up. The Force doesn't have a darkside and a lightside. First off lets just explain the force in a way like this; The force is like a pool. Most pools have a shallow end and a deep end right? Will, the sith like to use emoution and pure force power. But sinse the old Jedi where not allowed to use the force to cause harm, and this deep end of the poo of pure force can be used more for harm maybe. So the Jedi claimed that part of the force to be "dark" and evil and such. The deep end is more force then anything it uses more of the force and such. The Jedis are on the shallow end of the force pool. So I will end it there, sinse if I explain it in detil it would be very long to explain.

"Anakin was seduced by the Dark Side of the Force." 🙄

Thats what Jedis claim that deep side of the force to be. Thats just a title they used. Its not bad or anything, its just the users claim to say if its bad or not. When in fact its just that, The Force. XD

So everything in SW said about the Force, and everything the Jedi knew about the Force after a thousand years is all BS and you know it better?

Of course he does. Afterall, Star Wars is Art, and noone owns Art. We can all do with it what we like.

Oh, wait. Hell hasn't frozen over yet. Sorry, my bad.

Lucas owns the SW art, all three billion of it. And we gave it to him.

I think the real question is "Was Anakin's fall to the dark side a failure?"

Anakin's destiny was to "bring balance to the force." When he fell to the dark side of the Force, it was thought that he wasn't fulfilling his destiny. However, as we all know, in RotJ he was the one to kill the Emperor. Would he have been able to do that as Anakin Skywalker? I don't think so. The only way Darth Sidious was going to be destroyed was by a betrayal from his right-hand man Darth Vader.
