Which part was piss poor writing? The fact that Dr. Polaris took control of Kyle's ring, or the fact that he made Kyle hit himself repeatedly with the ring?
Or, the fact that a few pages later Kyle admitted as per his own words:
"He's got a counter for every one of us"?
And frankly, using a bunch of Kyle's top feats for John in this debate just doesn't cut it, I'm afraid. Especially considering Kyle>>>>John.
Yeah, going three pages w/ Fernus is pretty impressive. But in the first page, he got in a cheap shot, and in the second page, he blocked an offensive strike from Fernus. He still ended up getting owned.
The mind switching thing is also impressive as well.
Too bad Magneto's got one of the strongest wills in all of Marvel. He's been able to stand up to a full-out telepathic assault from Charles before. His defenses are also strong enough to resist the combined telepathic attacks from Professor X and Jean Grey.
Once again, I think John is a lot more powerful than Magneto. I guess you missed that part, huh? John wins this one 8/10. All I'm telling you is there ARE ways for Magneto to win this fight. In the JLA/Avengers x-over, Monica was able to absorb Oan energy, and she can only absorb energies that are a part of the electromagnetic spectrum. Blue Superman also messed up Kyle with electromagnetism as well. So has Dr. Polaris...
