USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 SECOND ASSIGNMENT- 'The Monastery'

Well, that seems to be the vox populi.

Of course, before all that can happen, you need to get there. To whit, Dallas and Marduk have come up with a plan to raid a helicopter depot. Unfortunately, only military depots have the big transport jobs, and that might be more trouble than it is worth. So to steal enough helicopters to cover all of you, you are going to have to steal four!

So, you will need to split intwo four teams- that is, two teams from each ship. The Captains will lead two teams, the First Officers will lead the other two. Your helisnatches will be independant of each others, though occuring at the same time. So long as you get up and flying in good order and good time, then you will be successful.

Why couldn't we just load helicopters into the Matrix?

Why don't you just load a tank into the Matrix?

Because the System would be easily alerted to its presence and react immediately...

Well, who wants to be on my team?

Well, it appears you can only take in what you can carry.

With the exception of cars, I suppose; one car is not going to be noticed amongst thousands.

As far as I am concerned you have to steal cars. Starting with any sort of equipment that is not personal buggers the set-up.

Eh, they did it in the computer game...

Anyways, setting up teams!

...

Mors gathers the crew of the Shez together before going in.

He addresses the Gunners first.

"I would like Burn and Ares to be split between the two teams. This gives each team a dedicated Gunner that knows what he's doing...no offense, Spades, but you haven't been on a mission yet. Burn, Ares, which team you join is up to you."

He turns to the Veterans.

"I would prefer for Fire to assist with leading my team. Balder and Firewall can take their pick."

Then the Naturals.

"Hawk and Sirin seem to have level heads on their shoulders and know the risks, and I know Heph knows what's up; I would prefer them to go in with me. Melkor and Spades can do their best to get the hang of things with Captain Dallas."

He addresses everyone.

"This is all what I would prefer, though if people are indecisive I'll make it an order. Everyone good?"

"Sounds good. Who you want to go with, Burn?" Ares asks, nudging him. "Major Kong or Mors the Suicidal?"

"I call Dallas! Sounds like more fun anyway..."

"No problems here, Mors," Hawk says, with a relaxed mock salute, "Not sure I can handle Dallas yet anyway."

"Fine, take the crazy one! I've got Mors, then."

Cloud will go with San, sorry Burn 😉

You can't go on the Shez teams anyways, Cloud. 😛

Melis will wait to see if San has anything to say, regarding team assignments.

If not, she will go with Marduk.

"Sure man, I'll watch your back"

Melkor will agree to going with Dallas, he seems quite impressive.

Interesting that i am the only one that wanted to go to the Fortess first... I think those monks may be pretty dangerous to humans anyway.

Nah, they're monks. They're not going to be kung-fu monks who are trying to wake up a werewolf - unless Ush has been watching Dr. Who again, in which case it should be very interesting 😈

Well, if they are Exiles, they are very dangerous. This is my basic assumption.

Mors thinks it a bit early to be making assumptions about anything Exile-related, though he deems it likely that the Exiles at the Monastery could be dangerous. However, when comparing a Monastery to a Fortress, he thinks it will be a less dangerous situation.

"I'll take the open spot, Mors. Wherever you need me, I'm there".
