USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 SECOND ASSIGNMENT- 'The Monastery'

Started by Storm105 pages

If Mirage can call an operator and ask for directions she will do that.

"You'll have to take the scenic route," says Finn. "Head towards the wall on your left!"

God damn..
You guys might be going through the study now...
Because I'm quite sure that you need intrusion to get out the clock Tower way.

Perhaps Balder could continue on to the study and library while everyone else sneaks off?

That sill blows the presence of everyone in that corridor, which ruins the entire point of the plan of the agent not knowing which way you went.

Timescale- post by the end of this day, or the Agent catches you all.

Balder stands still, everyone escapes?

Might as well charge agent. If I stay, I die.

I'll accept the solution being Balder's death if that's what you want, but I'll remind you it was other people that put him in a bad situation so the blame will be widely spread.

Well, I've basically completely exhausted every single idea that I've had for this situation.

Call operator?

Busy

No chance of Balder being able to go after Melis now? No chance of him being able to do something like, say, get on the roof through where there was a hole grenaded in it in the 4-door room and hide out there until the Agent's passed by?

Yeah, I can't think of a solution to this that helps everyone...

If Balder continues with us, we'll all be caught, and our scrambling around for the past several pages will be pointless. Also we'll likely all be rather dead.

If Balder splits off the other direction, then he gets Agented and dies, while the rest hopefully get back to safety.

...I hate being a good guy in these games.

EDIT: Hoping what Lana just posted can work...

Balder going towards Melis as, as I already said, irrelevant because the problem is that he'll be too loud so the Agent will still be following his group. It doesn't matter which way Balder goes after that; Burn's plan will fail.

If he gets onto the roof there- or at any point other than that describes as I have also previously said- the Agents outside will spot him.

Hmmm, I was thinking along the lines of Burn, Hawk, and Helios retreating back to the meeting room while Balder goes north across the 4-door room and that way to the Library to catch up with Melis...but I can see how that wouldn't work.

Damnit, one ****ing mistake completely screwing up everything...though it would really be great if I ever got any input or help from the other person who's supposed to be in charge.

(seriously, people think I've gotten pissed off about things before in games? Nothing compared to now.)

Well, let's keep it simple.

Balder cannot escape if being chased. So your first priority is to stop him being chased. This will require some selfless thought- only fair, as it wss selfish thought that put him in this mess.

So essentially, we need to stop the chase. And the most effective way to stop an Agent (unless I'm missing something, and I hope I am) is by fighting it. And what we need for that is someone who can get out of the fight safely.

I know VG allows that, as well as at least one other power. Burn and Hawk don't have VG, but Helios does.

Any power that throws does. Other than that, the only disenagge power as it stands is Lone Bamboo, and I hope practical scenarios show how damn useful that is in a way it really isn't in the Dojo.

Well, there's not a single thing I can do about it from where I'm at beyond get both of us killed, so I can't help.

I'm not sure if Helios would be able to deal out enough damage to get it Vulnerable fast enough, though...ideally for that you'd want someone with as high an MA pool as possible, but I don't think anyone's really in a position to get there quickly.

Though where's Heph? I seem to recall him being told that he'll have to get back into the building at some point.

What damage is everyone at? Not including those outside or in the library.

Forget Heph.
