Capt. Mar-Vell is getting his own ongoing comic again. This is not a mini.

I actually thought the whole Sentry thing was a little weak. Yeah, I know, it was Absorbing Man and he's a big villain... but c'mon... they could have found someone, someway to make him look so much tuffer. At least I think they could have.

And, now wait just a minute because here's a thought... if he's so stinking awesome and powerful... shouldn't he be able to take out at least HALF of the anti-regs by himself?

He could take the other team out, but so could Strange.

Neither are written full powered, though.

Long Pig did you see in Civil War six when Watcher ask strange why he just doesn't snap his fingers and end the conflict?

I hope they dont use the mini to cure his cancer. Specially since IronMan has a ridicuously powerfull new gadget in the armourr every other month, maybe this time it will be a beam to cure any disease.
Hudlin's Black Panther already has the cure for cancer but is keeping it a secret... 😐 😖 😘

.

The only good thing about 'The Return' was the Sentry back story which really justifies why most of the Pro-Reg characters are much more powerful than the street levelers

I mean its not like Luke Cage is a going to freakin' blow up a school. Whats he going to do? Punch it down? Then again Colossus is supposed to destroy an entire world by punching it 😛

That's just ridiculous. I know Sentry is supposed to be the best "Superman Ripoff" ever, but c'mon... they play him up, then they let him get jumped from behind by Creel, or hurt by a playing Hulk, or something like that.

either he's super great, or just some guy really got a lot of push for no reason.

I keep thinking he's going to end up getting retconned or something. Like it will turn out he has reality altering powers or something, like that kid in the Ultimate X-men.

I don't know... at first I was jumping on the Sentry bandwagon, but now I'm beginning to think that if he's so great, then let him be great. If not, stop putting him in comic books where he takes out the likes of The Falcon.

A guy with a shotgun could take out the Falcon. It's easy, especially if you've ever been hunting, I mean, shoot, Deadpool did it with ease.

Anyway, my point is, they have this pro-reg team stacked so high and they act like they're seriously sweating some of the anti-reg guys.

Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but this is an end that's going to end up being very anti-climactic.

Sentry got jumped by Creel cause Creel had absorbed some of his power from earlier. When we got into the story they were already in the middle of a fight. Also you can see that Sentry isn't even phased by AM's sneak attack, not to mention that he isn't really payig attention as he's talking with Cloc. Its not till Creel absorbs even more of his power do we even see a little bit of a "struggle" between the two of them. From my standpoint that was complete ownage by Sentry's part.

Also in the final battle the anti-regs have many plot devices to get rid of the big guns on the pro-reg side. Off the top of my head there's Cloak who could port out Sentry and others. Wiccan can also do that now that he's been released.

Good post.

Here is another problem. The pro reg guys could use all of their power against the anti-regs, but if they did they would probably end up killing them, and that is not what their objective is. Their objective is to put down and detain the anti-reg guys using "restraint" and "control" so they can arrest them. It's much harder to fight and detain someone than it is to fight and kill them because you can't go all out. Maybe Im wrong.

Couldnt Sentry just fly back at superspeed? The guy could probably cover 1000's of miles in seconds.

I wouldn't say he has a limitless supply.

Sentry said to Creed...

"Lets see how you do with the power of one Million exploding Suns.":

I respect Sentry alot more now, but the power of one Million exploding Suns isn't exactly limitless.

i was really talking more about all the light thats in the universe, thats what i meant by he had a limitless supply,i wasnt saying that he has it all stored within him........ but the power of a million exploding suns may as well be limitless anyway, cuz according to the chart on the weblink that other dude posted one million suns going nova would be more than enuff energy to start another big bang

That's very impressive, but still, in the world of comics the power to create a big bang (IF he could really do that), still isn't a limitless supply of energy.

Like I said, Sentry gets nothing but respect on my behalf from now on.

But, even if you take the whole "power of one million exploding Suns" term litterally, Sentry still dosen't have a limitless energy supply by comic standards.

That's all I was saying.

Exactly. Especially as how these are friends the pro-reg powerhouses will also be trying to limit themselves

They're in the negative zone. If Cloak ported him back into our dimension or even into the darkforce dimension it would take a while for him to get back.

That is exactly what I was thinking.

Quasar is getting a new comic book also

Didn't he die in Annihilation?

Yes.....i mean it's not like people come back to life all the time in comics...

Wait....I've just realised something , Sentry should be helping the Pro-Regs within the negative zone prison correct ?

In his Mini (the Second) he began to weaken dramatically when he entered it, hell he took the Hulk with him just in-case something went wrong. The match MIGHT not be so uneven now...

I meant isn't he currently dead? Normally they announce series for characters after they've brought them back to life
