Its War, you try your best to avoid casualties, but you dont stop because people get killed. He didnt act like a leader he just became reactionary when things went wrong...eventhough it was understandable.

For shock value. Bendis just wants people to by the book and is hoping the mystery over the new Ronin may be a selling point. If it was for a serious, long term goals I imagine they would wait longer then three issues to unveil who Ronin is.

And the list of people who don't know Spider-man is a chatty cathy is short... very short. It isn't a list that has an experienced heroes on it.

Cap could have busted out of jail by now if he really wanted to, we all know that.

He doesn't because he believes in justice and he believes he was wrong, so no Ronin definitely isn't Cap

Or maybe he's trying to get around all the people who were complaining that he took too long to reveal the id last time.

I don't think the reveal of Ronin will be an indicator as to whether this is "serious" or not, especially since 10/1 it'll be someone most people won't recognize

I don't recall... I'd have to go back and reread some stuff to confirm that. I know she has meet Elektra and Black Widow and I think she meet IF and Cage as well.

Yup. He only popped in for like one line but he was there when she was getting her costume from the tailor.

Still that was only a brief association and not enough imo for her to draw the fact that he talks nonstop.

Actually, in the original planning, there was a scene in which the Sentry confronted Cap, and Cap reduced him to a quivvering mound of jello psychologically, but there wasn't enough space to show this in the actual book, so it was one of the first beats we had to jettison.

I think the whole "Not enough space in the book" excuse is a little weak. Come on... who makes the book? Marvel. Who publishes it? Marvel. Who decides how big it has to be? Marvel.

Hence, Marvel just realized that the story was fading and hurried up and finished it.

Who paid for that? The fans. More than just financially.

I actually kind of liked the whole series, but I just... I don't know. I was pretty let down when Cap surrendered.
