Spoiler:
I want to be first to highlight the fact that Dr. Strange:1) Couldn't fix a small medical problem
2) Ran away from ninjas
3) Needed to check for a simple trap
4) Couldn't tell a dummy from a real person
5) Needed help to break into a jail
6) Ran with his group around Japan for a place to hide, rather then just teleporting somewhere
7) Is actually being trapped by Iron Man

I mean, if we expect Strange to be his true self, why didn't he just mind wipe the entire planet (like he did before. even Prof X got mindwiped), grab Cap from the afterlife and force him to live(like he did for wong's wife) or, hell........go back in time before all this happened and kung fu Tony Stark during a board meeting?
No, he's too busy getting his ass kicked by the friggin' hand.
Originally posted by long pigCause all that would make for boring comics and it's kinda ridiculous anyway.

😛
the confessions issue was very good, at least the first half. definitely made me see things from iron man's point of view. the second half was very bland, and actually made me think of cap as kind of an idiot.
but new avangers 28? that issue sucked. bad. and as bendis is given more creative freedom, it will only get worse.
"they tried to brainwash her, old school ninja shit"...what the hell? i thought dialogue was bendis' specialty. the man needs to be taken down a peg or two.
the thing that kills me, is that Stark knows he was wrong. He knows Cap was right and that he picked the wrong side. And he still went and turned Pro-reg. Sympathy for Stark? Far from it. This makes me hate him all the more. 😒 It actually brought a tear to my eye when I saw the shield on top of Cap's body. 🙁 This is wrong. Marvel went too far this time, they did something unthinkable. They killed Captain America, and maybe the spirit he represented. I can only hope they find a way to revive the ideal, if not the man.
And yes, this is a lame ass Dr. Strange clone. 😛 Dude, seriously, I'm expecting Strange to snap out of this and reset this whole mess after Hulk gets through destroying the US and most of the world. 😆 "See what you went and done Spunky? Now I'm all pissed off with nothing to forcibly sodomize." LP, you crack me up. 😆
I still don't see how Stark was on the wrong side.
.....he's a Jackass, but at the final battle it wasn't Cap worried about civilians, was it?
....It wasn't Cap who gave his most heartfelt sympathies to he parents of the children at Stanford.
.....It was Cap,who decided that he was above a law intended to give the public peace of mind, and that they could ignore democracy, and what a country beleived in.
.....Starks a dick,But in Civil War,i see Cap as the real ass IMO
About 180 or so years ago, a group of states gathered together and decided to break their laws and live freely. These people were the 13 colonies, and they rebelled against the unjust laws of Great Britain. The law is only valid so long as it does not oppress the people or infringe on their lives, liberties and pursuit of happiness.
Cap was fighting for democracy, Stark was fighting for totalitarianism. Stark's the man who betrayed the ideals of this country, and the public can go to hell. If they're willing to stand with a sellout and a traitor like Iron Man, they don't deserve Captain America as an american hero. And it's wrong on so many levels that he's gone. If anything, it shines the light of truth on this madness and shows the pro-reg side as the dictatorial, power-mongering, self-serving bastards they are. 😒

....and the super hero registration act was oppressive how?
They offered pay, training, pension and a host of other benefits that heroes never had,and all that was sacrificed was their ability to blow up fifty people and get off scott free.
Yeah,so sheild knows who they are,but as Cable said Sheild already knew most and they never intervened before....why would they start now.
Cap wasn't fighting for democracy.Democracy means that the public chooses someone to represent them. They chose Stark,Cap got his panties in a twist and went against the public and the country he loves, all to protect the rights of a minority....terrorist FTW.
Originally posted by TricksterPriestStark does not "know" he was wrong, and it's never implied that he does. He just thinks that everything he's done since the Registration Act came to be, wasn't worth the price of Cap's life. He still believes he's doing the right thing, if he didn't, he wouldn't still be doing it.

1) What small medical problem? I highly doubt being killed, ressurected and brainwashed is comparable to a cold.
2) Dude, they're ninjas.
3) As opposed to?
4) I don't think its a matter of him not being to able to know, if he tried. He didn't though. All he checked for whether or not a body was present.
5) He didn't need any help. The others tagged along. If anything they care more about getting Cap's body than Strange does
6) He did teleport them around. He teleported them to the Hand fortress and to the Silver Samurai
7) So? Puck can trap Superman does that mean Superman wil stay trapped?

is it just me, or do people who side with either the pro- or anti-registration like to twist the truth of the other side to make them seem insane and without ground?
stark did what he thought he had to do to save lives. that's admirable. but in doing so, he supported something that forced his peers to give up their anonymity; something that many superheroes took solace in. the SHRA was generally about saving lives and preventing incidents such as stamford, yes. but its implementation went far beyond that, as we've seen. it became 'tell us who you are, or we'll throw you in one hell of a jail for helping people.' being a hero became a crime, and the public and law enforcement both lost sight of the goal of the SHRA and lost their respect for heroes because of their inability to see past the tips of their noses. as such, heroes defending their right to privacy became almost more justifiable than forcing superhumans to register. as it was, they'd been equally just.
and that was the whole point. both sides are right, but going about their agenda wrong. stop arguing for one by over-exaggerating the other.
