I worded that wrong. I don't necessarily believe that liberals want to eat the baby Jesus. Not all of them anyway.
But you're right. Christ is SO not a big topic. Religion isn't brought up wherever you go. That's why it has its own section on these forums and that's why most of the topic are related to Christ or Christianity in some way. That's why its so easy for comedians to make fun of Religious Rightists...because they're never at abortion clinics calling women sinner and whores or at the funerals of soldiers with signs saying "Thank God for 9/11!" That's why candidates promise things like passing legislation against gay marriage because the religious community's vote isn't a factor in any election.
Religion is such a dead subject.

I think you will find it is opposite. Religion is very much alive.
Maybe so in America, since you live there, and Western Europe but as for the rest of the world, such is not the case by any stretch of the imagination.
Even some WEstern countries such as Italy - people are extremely religious there. Churches in Naples are FULL. All the time. Every Sunday, as far as my granddad says and as far as i have seen it myself.
Same goes for Spain. The percentage of people who are religious is very very high.

I think you will find that his post was made in sarcastic mind..meaning he meant the opposite. Rather evident too.
