Actually it's the ability to relate the idea, not formulate it.

In fact, your logic would assume that if i were to go to Zimbabwe, I would not be intelligent, since I would not be able to clearly communicate with them.
Holy arguing semantics Batman! Being able to speak in more than one language, and being able to communicate intelligently in your native tongue are hardly the same... but good try.
By the way, if you travelled to Zimbabwe, chances are, if you tried, you could be able to communicate to some extent with them.
We are discussing intelligence as it relates to expressing yourself through written dialogue as a measure of intelligence. To say that one may write like an idiot or cannot even master the simplest of grammar skills and be smart is, well, stupid. To say that one who can write eloquently or one who seemingly has grasped basic grammar skills is not intelligent, is, well, also stupid.

I think Stephen Hawking might disprove you aswell, but he does have the benefit of technology
Once again. Lame comparison. You are comparing a genius who, because of a physical disability, is unable to speak or write, with a kid on an Internet forum who often chooses to type like a retarded monkey. Arguing semantics is a last ditch effort.

are you being serious....you couldnt understand this line:
]What I am trying to say is that having efficient grammar skills does not mean that a person is intelligent or if they do not posses theses skills unintelligent.
now, i might not be a professional dyslexic author, but even I can read that and understand what capt is saying.
It's not that I didn't understand it, in fact, I didn't state that at all, so your point is moot. It is still funny though.

language is about communication, being able to take meaning from symbols. the point he is making is clear, you are being an ass
And you sir, have absolutely no sense of humour. I suggest some laxatives and a CD of Lewis black to both loosen you up and put a smile on your sour face. As for communication and language, we live in a world where people act like idiots, talk like idiots and write like idiots, but all claim to be anything but idiotic. If you choose to overlook the laziness of others as acceptable behaviour because they are able to get their point across despite their limited effort and/or limited intelligence, then bask in their glow, but don't be surprised when it starts to rub off.

First off, I think you meant to say,"I act fine, and it is well established that I do not name call or attack others or their views based on their opinions. I may have done thing's in the past that I am not proud of, but I strive to better myself.
Secondly, you are not fooling anyone.
