Anyone feel like pitching some characters, so that everyone will have an idea of the types that are appropriate? You don't have to use the one's that you actually plan on picking, but just some that are parallels that way we know everyone is clear on the limits.
Also I was just thinking about it, and since I'm hosting it as well as participating at the end, I really shouldn't pick first. if one of you guys PM's to ask me about a certain character that you have in mind and I already plan on picking him/her, it'll just make you think that I stole them out from under you.

Ok guys, I know this is a bit long, but please read it and make sure your clear on the general guidelines for the tourney(if you don't pay attention, and you do something that's not allowed, you've only yourself to blame). For those unfamiliar with the concept, this is a rundown for Amalgam characters. Participants each select three characters. Each of these characters holds a special place in the makeup of the Amalgam. These places are MIND, BODY,POWERS.
BODY-This character is the basic physical form of the Amalgam. The “Body” character determines the Amalgam’s base Strength, Durability, Stamina, Agility. These attributes may be increased through the use of the Amalgam’s powers, but the individual component characters abilities do not stack. So if you pick Superman and the Hulk, and you select Superman as you “Body”, you would have Superman’s base level of strength, but you would get stronger as your character became angry. You would not however, add the base strength level’s of Superman and the Hulk, to determine the base strength level of your Amalgam.
MIND-This character serves as the mental template for your Amalgam. It determines your characters Intelligence, Willpower, and Experience/Skills. Your ”Mind” character also determines which of your characters powers he can use effectively. (I’ll explain more about power usage in a moment)
POWERS-This character is basically just an added bonus. All this character represents for the Amalgam in question, is another power set that the character can draw his resources from.
On power usage….
The created Amalgam has access to ALL of his components powers…at least theoretically. The Amalgams “Mind” actually determines which of his powers he can use effectively. So the Amalgam is automatically proficient with ALL of his “Mind” characters, and is also proficient with any of his other components powers that his “Mind” could figure out fairly easily(it is up to person controlling the Amalgam to convince the judges whether or not the Amalgam in question could figure out how use his other powers). This is why it is generally better to have the component with the most complicated power set designated as you “Mind”. Things like Super Strength, and involuntary regeneration require no real thought, and are therefore automatically successful. Things like creating/sustaining constructs, altering the molecular structure of matter, and manipulating the electromagnetic spectrum, may or may not be successful, depending on how much of a stretch it is that the “Mind” character could figure it out fairly easily. Thus powers that are similar to the “Mind” characters, hold the greatest chance of being used successfullyBanned characters
Some characters are banned from being used in the creation of Amalgam characters. This is because some power or ability of the character in question, is overpowered or easily unbalancing when combined with certain other characters. The following is a list of characters that cannot be used in the creation of your Amalgam…
Juggernaut
Multiple Man
The Destroyer(Asgardian)
The Shaggy Man
The FlashThis list is likely to be expanded on in the future, but those are the ones that spring to mind at the moment.
Now about THIS tourney….
Under Venom is the general rule for character selection
