Well, Superman has demonstrated many things that would suggest he is able to pull off 3/10 against Thanos. I'm not trying to argue the fact that Superman is more powerful or that he would take the majority. If I came off sounding like that, then I'm sorry.
Superman has flown so fast that he created a boom tube in the time dimension and he time travelled. Thus, making it instantaneous travel. Now, that makes it much more impressive considering Superman is in no way tied to the speedforce itself. To give you an idea of how fast that is, Kyle Rayner once flew from one end of the universe to the other in under a day. Pretty fast, no?? Anyway, when Kyle did this, he didn't even create a boom tube in the time dimension, so it can be assumed that Superman travelled much faster than that. Speedblitzing would be the only tactic that Superman could use against Thanos. Of course if Superman goes toe to toe with him, he's going to lose. Many people in high places are afraid of Superman, it's because of what he's capable of when he's not holding back and willing to kill, and when he's pulling all of his powers together to create havoc. Thanos has defeated people much more powerful than Superman, however, to be fair, Superman has defeated people more powerful than Thanos. Is it really that much of a stretch to consider maybe 3/10 against Thanos?
Superman has also got an extra power up his sleeve that would keep Thanos on his toes. It's a little thing called "T-Vo." With it, he can control other people's minds and make them see illusions, holographs, can make the environment seem to change, and also with it he can steal the other person's powers. It seems a little far fetched, however he has done so against Eradicator already. Thanos would be confused. He would see what he would perceive to be "Superman," and blast the hell out of it. It will only rattle him up more to find out that it was a decoy and then a speedblitz from Superman comes. Superman could litterally use it to toy with Thanos and put him in his own nightmare. The environment would be different to Thanos, everything would change. Thanos wouldn't understand what hit him.
Their strength and durability can be argued to be roughly in the same league. I mean, Superman has some freakin rediculous strength feats. Thanos is overall more powerful, yes, however Superman's speed would outgun Thanos' raw power 3/10. That's all I have to say about that. 🙂

thank you for coming to superman's rescue with something coherent and well thought out. i agree that superman could take 3/10, and the reason that i refused to agree with soleran on a 1/10 for superman was because i didn't feel that he was attempting to debate with us as much as he was trying to make himself feel above us.
even though im not quite sure how thanos would take to this t-vo business, considering he has dealt with psychics and mind tricks before, and i do beleive that if he knew superman had this power he would be able to see through it i'll give you a maybe on that.
but over all i do agree and ill say thanos takes this battle 7/10.
