true, but why pour fuel on the fire?
South East of Europe, and medeterenian, Balkans and such area, the food is different, but there is also a lot more walking around.
Athens for example, the food is sooooo fattening, but you just walk eveywhere....
Rome too - you just don't need tansportation in Rome...
The pace of life is not as ''go go go'' and ''do do do''. Just look at Paris, or even Rome. Everyone is relaxed, or far more so than in England for example, or USA.
Its way of life as well, id add.

you seem to imply that we americans enjoy being rushed around. ffs why do you think we fly over to europe for vacation? gloating over such things is not very noble.
:edit: oh my god can you please tell the administration to stop changing things? now we have to see the quote within a quote within a quote within a quote?
Originally posted by PVSdoes it actually do that? 😑 I see it there, but it's never happened to me
nothing, i just quoted you and my last quote was in the post as well.
so i started having nightmarish visions of back and forth bickering with like 50 quotes contained in one post, so each post fills a whole page. hold me.
it only happens when i quote that one post. 😑

The gov't is proposing a trans fat ban which'll mean no more Oreos and McDonalds french fries for anyone anymore. At least not at it's normal and tasty level.I'm against the gov't interfering with and dictating on what people should and shouldn't eat. especially when alcohol does more damage to organs and kills more people that trans-fat ever did or will and yet it's legal to consume.
Trans-fat can cause health issues if it is abused just like anything else. When enjoyed in moderation by a mindful person then there'll be no problems. If people don't know how to feed themselves then how is that anyone else's problem or business.
My point is if you are against trans-fat, then don't eat it, but don't ban it and make others pay for what other uncontrollable mouths adhere to..

If I want to eat myself to death with fatty foods, no one has any right to stop me.
Except for the fact that we pay money so you can die in a hospital...
What you are saying would apply if the government wouldn't pay for your health care... As long as they do, your health and what you eat is the government's business seeing as those bastards pay...
The extremes in which we let the government decide is something the people should have a say in, and that is what elections are for... However the government as far as I see it do have the right to remove dangerous fluids from our lives as long as we give them the power through elections.

Very well, get rid of socialized medicine. Let hospitals go under the control of privatized companies that people make a profit off of. People work harder for higher pay ANYWAY; the quality of hospitals would likely go up. As a capitalist, I firmly believe in these principles.
