Thanks. And I have never been a fan boy. If this board was way over the top DC loving, I would defend marvel to the fullest extent. But some of my opinions haven't changed. I Still think DS is a closer match to Odin than he is to Thanos. Especially given the fact that DS and high father are the balances of the SOURCE. I'll take Superman's defeats of DS as pure jobbers since the many many many times before, DS has laughed at Supers. Hell Lobo is a Superman Stalemate, and He actually hurt his hand on DS's face. So my assumption of DS' power isn't just rabid fanboyism. There is some merit to me having my opinion. I also think Thor beats Superman due to magic and Skill and near equal strength. But You dont' see people mentioning that fact about me too much. I also gave Thanos the victory over Superman Several times, Even while defending supers. That isn't mentioned either.
Post Crisis Darkseid has never really shown anywhere near the power of his Pre Crisis counterpart. Pre Crisis Darksied was an absolute BEAST. His greatest Displays of feats took part during the Great Darkness saga, in the Legion of super heroes.
Great Darkness Saga Feats:
Telepathically enslaves an ENTIRE planet of PRE CRISIS Daximites (Kryptoninans that left krypton millenia previously). One must note that it was near impossible to effectively mind control Supes in those days, making the feat ever more impressive.
Telekinetically moving both Apocalypse and Daxam at the same time.
Absorbed the magical powers of universal Threats such as Mordru the most powerful Lord of Chaos (Who are generally regarded as Sky fathers)
Creating and Mind controlling various evil Clones from the Age of Superheroes, including a clone of Superman, and even more impressively an OAN GUARDIAN. When you note that Krona (Another Oan Guardian, was able to kill galactus in the JLA/Avengers crossover,you realise how impressive this is.)
Fought and beat a combination of Pre Crisis Super boy (Who like Super boy Prime, could move planets like chess pieces, and was totally invulnerable to ANY form of physical trauma save kryptonite), Supergirl (Who is nearly as powerful as Super boy), Ultra boy (Same strength level as Supergirl), and Orion.
Managed to Vaporize a Daximite, telekinetically pulling each molecule away from one another.
Only surrendered after loosing control over the Daximites, and deciding he couldn't beat an entire planet population as well as the Legion.
These all took place in a 4-6 issue story: See Wiki page below

During another Legion story, Darksied created Validus with his omega effect. With Mongul and Darksied himself, Validus was regarded as one of the D.C.'s strongest beings. Was able to fight and beat superboy, Ultraboy and Mon El (another Daxam) at the same time.

You mean Pre-IC DS. Current DS has shown impressive power already. Also note that DS had the power to collapse a 5th of a universe. This is his most powerful dispay of power. And this was POST CRISIS.

What do u mean Pre-IC DS ? The Great Darkness saga occurred before the Crisis of Infinity Worlds, in 1985.

In the Great Odessy DS along with 4 others destroyed an entire universe to stop the Anti-Life Creature. I'll post a link in a second. ANd I what I mean by Pre-IC is Pre-Infinite Crisis DS is Different than Post IC DS. There are three major history eras of DC. Pre-Crisis, Pre-IC, and New Universe DC. Altho one could count it as 4 if you count Zero as a retconning phase as well.

There is Precrisis, Pre Infinite Crisis, and New Universe. IF you count Zero hour, then there are four major historical eras of the dcu. Current DS is now in the New Universe or Post IC era. But DS has some feats Post crisis that are truly astounding.

Ummm not to burst you're bubble, because i love Darksied but it looks like that wasn't a universe but a dimension, and Fate did all the 'destroying'.
