Darkseid fires his eraser beams from his eyes attempting to wipe Galactus from existence. Notice Galactus still standing there, not saying anything as Darkseid blasts Galactus with the Full Omega Effect.
The Eraser beams fail, and Galactus blasts Darkseid flying backward.
Notice Galactus replies with the words: "But If in this you think you see a weakness in Galactus, you see no weakness but your own". An indication that both Darkseid's words are wrong, and the omega effect didn't work.
The only thing the Omega Effect did to Galactus was give him a nice new waxy paint job. Notice how grungy looking Galactus before the Omega Effect, and now after the omega effect he's shiny and sparkling.

How exactly do you know he was even wiped out in the first place? For all we know from those scans is that the bright white "light" surrounding Galactus's body was soap.
I mean look at the scans! Galactus is practically glowing pink after the Omega Effect! If the Omega Effect can't erase , teleport, or hurt Galactus, we can assume that the Omega Effect did the next best possible thing....give Galactus a bath!
We all know the weakness Darkseid was refering to was Galactus's personal hygiene. Then Galactus got mad that Darkseid cleaned him and blasted Darkseid into the mud to get him dirty!
Look at Darkseid covered in dirt! We know Galactus meant business! Nobody gets cleans Galactus but Galactus.

Ok you notice how the shining lines go across Galactus. That is the OE working. You notice how a panel later no more shiny lines, That is Galactus over powering the OE. Galactus even commented on how powerful DS is. If they weren't working, he wouldn't have made the comment.

Others have begged for thier very lives under tha assualt of Galactus. Big G simply gave DS a cleaning bill. It was a great showcase of both characters.

If the Omega effect wasn't working, there would have been no lines. Those lines are the trademark of the OE working. How do you explain the lines? Please explain to me how you came up with your Speculation when I can clearly see on the panel, the OE doing what it usually does when someone is erased.
