It wasn't ever stated but rahter easy to figure out. ANd in Godzilla 2000 you find out about "regenrator G-1"this was a scale on Godzilla's body that was damaged and grew back stronger in a few short minutes .After careful observation scientist figured out That each cell had the abilty to regerate stronger than before. It was easy to figure out that Godzilla's entire body could do the same after watching Godzilla vs. megagurus,where he was sucked into a black hole and came back becuase 1 cell of his body still remined. So couldn't the Hulks anger wear off before he destroys Godzilla on a cellular level?
That's like me making a comic book of Wolverine fighting Superman, and making Wolverine win only because I think he's cooler. It disregards facts and comic logic, seeing as Wolverine would get ripped to shreds by Superman. Godzilla, taking into account all of his feats, would still get crushed by Hulk. He's just a 300 foot tall dinosaur. And the worst part about people thinking he'd win is that if he does use his atomic breath, he'll be helping Hulk to grow stronger.

Now quite frankly, Godzilla decimates Hulk.
I don't know where this notion of "Hulk's too strong and too fast for Godzilla" came from, but it's highly disingenuous.
Godzilla regularly fights and excels against opponents who can travel at mach speeds and beyond. He's easily blasted 5 fighter jets out of the air in less than 4 seconds (or was it 4 in 3?). He's easily dodged a portion of street thrown at his head by Hercules. At no point has Hulk EVER displayed the type of speed necessary to be "too fast" for Godzilla to hit, as in... AT ALL.
When it comes to strength, Godzilla has WAY more than enough to hold his own with Hulk. I don't see how people can even begin to think this is a debatable point. People with far far weaker strength levels.. by deficits of tens of thousands of tons have consistently been able to slug it out with Hulk for decades since his incarnation. IF Hulk has enough time or hits the right circumstances to get to G's strength level or exceed it, it's not going to be some drastically dynamic advantage in the fight, even at Hulk's best, Godzilla would be a handful in terms of sheer power alone.
A relatively calm Godzilla was one of the biggest strains that Hercules' strength has ever come across, and Herc was pretty wasted just from trying to stop from being stepped on to the point that he could barely hold up a support structure for a bridge.... this is the man who carried Manhattan behind his back. ... When Godzilla got serious and pissed Herc realized he made a mistake. And that's was just Godzilla taking a step. 😐
We've got people saying that Hulk can destroy a planet.... the only evidence of which was nothing impressive on panel, it was hardly Ayers rock much less a planet the size of earth.. and so what? Godzilla's blasted one to nothing after fighting every opponent in his rogues gallery and then some.. AND THEN SOME. The whole premise to burning Godzilla was that his power at full release was capable of planet busting.
Hulk can sap Godzilla's radiation? Funny Godzilla can do the same damn thing, and geometrically speaking at a far more alarming rate.
Hulk jumps on Godzilla's back? Godzilla blasts him to hell with his pulse.
Both have the same HF.
But, Godzilla has range, with radioactive fire breath hotter than the sun, Godzilla would eradicate Hulk faster than Vector did.
At the end of the day these are essentially the same characters, but Godzilla just happens to be waaaay bigger, has ranged attacks, and has even displayed better martial arts skill in battle. He makes powers up on the fly and has advantages to negotiate everything Hulk brings to the table.
If Hulk wants to win a fight with Godzilla, he should go pick on the US 98' version.

None of Godzilla's feats transcend what the Hulk has done. Godzilla isn't anything compared to Hulk, who has lifted a 150 billion ton mountain before, something Godzilla has never been shown to be able to do. Get back in touch with reality, there's a whole feats thread on this forum that shows Hulk would curbstomp any version of lizard boy.
No he braced PART of a 100 billion ton mountain while most of hit was already on the ground, read the book. And even that is an outliner feat of strength that has NO baring on his IN FIGHT performances which include having a losing record to the likes of Namor, Ngarai demons, one shotted by Iron Man, and being fought to half a dozen standstills by the Thing.
Dude, stop making excuses, he lifted the mountain, a member of the team even made him mad so his strength would increase so he could lift it higher, I know what happens in the book. Also, Godzilla is at a serious disadvantage because he's too big, while Hulk is in the 7-9 foot range. Add a leaping ability & superhuman speed on top of that and Godzilla is screwed. He'll never even be able to hit Hulk, and if he does, he'll heal from it since he's healed from being burnt down to his skeleton before.
