Please Dooku and Grievous were killed. The CIS basically only had the CIS council now to lead them and none of them know how to command an army. Episode I showed that with Gunray.

And the Republic had better ships which are far weaker then those the Empire had. An Imperial Star Destroyer >>>> anything the CIS has

The CIS was stinking rich, im sure they could have employed a new military commander. Besides, that Geonosion Commander (Poggle?) looked like he has seen a few battles in his time 😛
