The thing is, I'm not sure if she has lied or not – I can't say for sure yet, and then the other thing is that she's the only decent person in my school, everyone else are jerks. But you are right, I'll rise up to it and search.

Be blunt, very blunt. I'd rather make a fool of myself to know the truth, than spend my time thinking what could've happened. Keep searching, because another pretty girl on the other side is searching for you right now. You have to meet her half way.
And I know a ton of people argue: "Well my love fell on my lap, I didn't have to lift a finger!" Those people are douchebags. Usually rich, wealthy douchebags who land women not because they are loved, but for their cash. So don't be an idiotic douche and keep lookin' out for the one.
If this chick at your school that you think lied might be the one, bring up the question, be blunt about it. Just ask: "Did you lie to avoid me?" If she says yes, then f*ck that! If she says no, pay close attention to her mannerisms. If she's all sympathetic and emotional, you'll know she's telling the truth, but if she adds sarcasm to her answer, like: "umm, no! Silly you, I'd never avoid you....you silly you.." Yeah, she's covering up that fact that she was...
