Why does this forum have so few threads about quality comics?

Honestly being Canadian I'm not sure of the inner workings of the American judiciary system. Maybe you can marry your second cousin or something... in Utah.

LOL .... Im pretty sure its obligatory!

For me, IC was pretty good, and i honestly wasnt that disappointed by the ending (if only the scale had been a bit bigger, a few more pages would have helped)

Civil War, to me, is more about the spectacle than anything else... i don't think the writing is exactly stellar, but i'm still drawn to it, because (barring another shite decision from marvel) it could have lasting repercussions for the entire mu... ultimate x-men was never THAT good imo...

My pull list...

Superman
Action Comics
Flash (in the somewhat insane hope that wally returns, other than that, well... zoom is gonna be in it soon, which could be awesome)
Astonishing X-Men
Uncanny X-Men (i want to see what the whole summers family consequences will be)
All Star Superman
Kabuki (as much as i can, but it has some really odd release dates)
Shi (the tpb's, great stuff)
JLA
JSA

i used to download comics, but i only have dial up now, so its impossible... and to be blunt, i cant afford to spend money on the 20+ comics i read monthly when i had broadband... so i gave up invinclible, batman, the freshmen, battle pope, ultimates, cable and deadpool, all the daredevil stuff, and so on...

if anyone doesnt like the comics i read, to hell with em, because, to be honest, they are the comics i like to read, it says alot about a person when they try to personally insult someone just because of the comics they'd choose to read over others...

some growing up is needed imo...

I hear some parts of Scotland and Ireland are like that as well.

Well, there is Alan Moore, who is a real heavyweight.

In a League of his own, with maybe Gaiman and Miller (Not Millar).

Sorry i couldn't disagree more. Ultimate X-men got me pack into comics, and well Enemy of the State should have been Marvles big crossover, as opposed to House of M.

I enjoyed both runs. I mean they where certainly "fun" to read... but Hilander is a fun movie to watch too (I love Hilander!) and it isn't bringing home any medals.

I thought it varied from State to State.
It does depend on the state but more about marriage then inbreeding, some states allow first cousins to marry and others only allow second cousins, some will allow first cousins but they must go through genetic profiles and counseling.

FYI 😛

I don't know much about Alan Moore but Gaiman and Miller are very good.

I was going to make a cheap shot at your expense for reading Flash... but then I remember I still read Wolverine: Origins. 😮

Im glad someone else is enjoying Action (D.C.'s best mainstream comic IMO). Uncanny and the Flash are really appaling (I wish Waid was brought back on Flash, his run was excellent). Never heard of Shi ?

If the counseling doesn't talk you out of marrying your cousin you should ask for you money back.

He implies that your the product of inbreeding... so you let him know you don't support the monarchy. 😕

No, I'm saying it's hypocritical for someone from a country personified by inbreeding like Britain to bash anybody else for the same thing.

You still haven't answered my questions.

1) What's resoponding?

2) Do you live in a trailer park?

1) Who's Kurts Busiek?

2) Nope, I actually own a house. It's even in a relatively crime-free area. I also don't need mommy (or mum to you) to pay my bills.

I think inbreeding is illegal in the states too... Mormon's just don't care.

Actually, I'm not sure of the creepy family breeding laws. That's not something have ever felt I needed to know. And YES. Mormons are funky that way.

Ouch... Gaiman and Miller are indeed good, but imo, Moore is the best.

Here are a few Moore tips :

- The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen vol I and II (Forget that awful movie !!!!!)

- From Hell (Forget that awful movie). From Hell isn't easy reading though.

- Watchmen. Maybe the best comic ever ?

- The Killing Joke. Brilliant Batman story.

- V for Vendetta. A bit dated, but still a great read.

- Top Ten ! This is so underrated, and yet it's so good !!
