Nutso woman comes back in a few days later saying it didn't work and she wanted to return it but didn't have a receipt because I didn't give it to her...she was having a fit about it and demanding to ONLY deal with me because it was my fault blah blah blah. My assistant managers convinced her to go back home to look for it (because they both were there the first day that lady was there and remember me putting it in the bag and telling her that), and then sent me off on lunch. She came back and I was just sitting behind the counter eating Subway and got to inwardly laugh when she insisted on talking to me and was told by both ASMs that I was off the clock and thus couldn't do anything at all.
I love my job, and I am in no way being sarcastic when I say that.
Wouldnt you check the bag in the first place before leaving home? 🤨 What a dumb****...

I worked at a Forever 21. For those of you who don't know what that is, its a women's clothing store that has "trendy" fashion. It a fking pop culture temple. I hated my stay there for multiple reasons.
Anyways, since its clothing they have shitty rules on returns. First of all, no return on worn clothes. On clothes not worn you have to have the tag still attached to the clothing and the receipt, it has to be returned within 21 days of the purchase, and you can either get store credit or exchange it for something else. We never give cash.
Omfg, so many girls came in wanting a refund and I'd have to tell them "No cash back" or "You can't exchange this because the tag is off" and it was just so much stress. It was the worst when the girl would get pissed because it was a gift or the tag accidentally came off or they didn't know about the return policy and no one informed them of it. If I can help it, I'll never do clothing retail again.
Petty customers can be cumbersome but the what's more of a pain in my opinion and being stuck with a sucky Manager.
I worked at KFC for a while and the Manager that I had was terrible.
Not to mention he walked around with a BLOODY ELBOW. UGH!
We'd shutdown and stop making food at about 9 or 10 and start cleaning up.
After we'd clean up fairly good in my opinion, we'd have to go to him like little children to get him to check up after us and 9 times out of 10 we'd end up staying a whole extra HOUR cleaning up stuff that really wasn't even there b/c of his nit picking. I mean, that place will only get so clean. This is the Holiday End. It got ferociously nasty and mess back there so for what it's worth we did a pretty good job.
The girls in the front had to do their little clean up and us boys in the back had to do our BIG clean up and we always left sometime after the girls, which sucked. Unless he was extremely nit picky with them on a night, they really didn't have it as hard as us.
The way he acted toward some of the girls was actually kind of borderline pervertish.
I'm basing this on things that I witnessed and things that the girls themselves experienced and told me.
So yeah. The Job was horrible. I had a cousin who had worked there some time earlier and the manager said the wrong thing to him and they got into this heated argument and my cousin just walked out and quit.
Not the first time somebody walked out on him.
The HIGHLIGHT of the job was when The Manager got a HEART ATTACK.
I was hoping on hope that he wouldn't return, whether it just be because he was too hurt to return or he died.
But he came back......................and I soon quit.
I heard he had another Heart Attack sometime after I quit as well.
For some reason I was still hoping he would die. ermm
Anata wa wakarimasu ka.....

Hehe. I love telling people that no, we can't take your return if you don't have a receipt, and it does not matter if I was the one that rang you up 3 days ago or whatever, we need the damn barcode on the receipt to process it!
That and telling people that try and return new things they've opened. Uhhh, no. Nowhere can you return any sort of game/video game system/any type of media item if it's new and opened, unless it's defective and in that case, you can only exchange it for the same item.
My coworkers are all amazingly awesome though 😛

That would require these people to actually THINK.

Forever 21 has some cute stuff 😛
I'm finding I actually don't have a problem with retail, which I was worried I wouldn't be able to handle as I'm extremely shy in real life and incredibly uncomfortable around people I don't know. But I like my job a lot, the occassional retarded customer aside.
I would not do clothing retail though unless they were willing to pay me like $15 an hour 😛

Ok some lady called into where I work, a pizza place, the other day and said "She gave me a $50 and I only gave her back $15". I know that I didn't give her $15 back because I counted it out twice when I gave her the change. I gave her a $20, a $10, a $5 and 4 $1's. (The order was for $11 and I gave her $39 back in change, she then gave me $4 for the tip.)So anyway she calls in and says I shortchanged her. I call bullshit and my manager gets all mad because he is an a$$hole and only cares about money. All the evidence is in my favor though. I had 21 deliveries Saturday night, at the end of my shift I have to printout this piece of paper that tells me what I owe to the main safe and the rest I keep. I owed $390.68 to the main safe. I have worked there for a while now and everytime I do my end of day I always go a dollar or two over the amount. Because I don't want to bother with change in coins and it's easier for them to subtract the extra two bucks and give me back the change from the main amount.
I get $3 in tips every delivery.
21 x 3 = $63, my total tips for saturday night came out to $68. That's only a $5 difference. No way do I owe this lady the $23.35 that she says I do.
But I will be forced to give it back to her because of my manager.
I say I am being cheated out of money that I made here and it's ridiculous.
Remember: Karma!

Don't sweat it, Roland. If she is a frequent customer, give the order to someone else there. When she pull this same exact stunt to your other worker, go to you boss and ask for your money back. If so he says no, tell him to lick your balls.
I'm glad everyone sees that I'm right here. 😊
The main problem I have though is if I had really only gave her $15 in change, that is a significant difference from $39, she would have noticed right away. I mean it takes me atleast a minute or two to leave the house, get back to my car and get ready to go back to the pizza place or take my next order.
So when she doesn't come out and get me before I leave or call back that night to say I shortchanged her, I say she is just trying to get money or free food.
