We were discussing a possible end (I hope not) of AWE,where Elizabeth is waiting on an island for her husband Will,who being the captzain of the FD can step on land in every ten years.Jack is searching for the Pearl.It would be a senseless end IMO.

I'm doubting that's the real ending, and it's not just because I don't think it works for Jack. I don't think it works for any of the characters in terms of their development. Since Will is a very good man, and loves Elizabeth dearly, I don't believe he'd expect for her to wait for him like that.

Also, if she waits for him, it sort of dilutes the strength of her character and doesn't exactly go with the feminist route that T+T seem to write for Elizabeth.

Also, the sheer logistics of it are mind boggling. It's ok the first time he comes to visit, she'll be 30. But after about two visits, it starts to get.....strange...er...

If they do a W/E ending, I suspect that they'll probably throw in a get out of jail free clause to the Flying Dutchman contract. It will probably go something like, if the bride can remain faithful for ten years, the curse of the FD is lifted and he can return to life, or at least to his beloved.
