CUT TO... Beckett and Jones, in Beckett's old ship.

Beckett: Well that was rather a wash out. Lost Swann, lost the dutchman, lost the goddess and we've nothing left but you and the heart.

Jones: What do you want with me now? As you said, my ship is gone.

Beckett: Perhaps your forgetting Jones, that I was raised on stories of the legendary captain of the flying dutchman. Do you really think I don't know your... other talents, so to speak?

Jones: (still resisting) What other talents?

Beckett: Let me tell you a story, Jones. Once upon a time, a young man worked for me, a very idealistic young man. Well he turned out all wrong but he told me something that I've always remembered. He told me that you were the only creature alive with the power to kill a goddess.

Jones: How would he know something like that?

Beckett: Well, from what I hear, Tia Dalma once had feelings for Jack Sparrow...

Jones glowers, but says nothing as Beckett smiles sadistically.

Beckett: My army will be here within days. We'll easily overcome that ragged band of outcasts. But they will, I'm afraid, have a newly unleashed goddess on their side, and that's where you come in....

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the suspense! That is Beckett's character smack down! I like Beckett's character because he is the real villian I believe!

^^ Beckett is sexy.

I'm working on the riddle, if you guys don't mind. I promise I will not take a year and a day to post it up. 😄 Oh, does someone want to get James up? 😄

Don't forget about his headache. *ggg* He's got a big 'ol bruise on his forehead. 😄

CUT TO THE PEARL

(Everyone is coming on deck)

Gibbs: Hope the old first mate's not thinkin' of double crossin' anyone. (glares at Barbossa)

Boostrap: That's not our only worry. (sees no one stepping up) Fine then. Hello!

Scylla: (something like a mouth opens) Is that the sound of a ship approaching?

Bootstrap: Well, I've done my part. Your turn, Jack.

Jack: Good morning! You look pleasant, downright enchanting by the look of things.

Barbossa: Tryin' to get us killed, are ye?

Scylla: Pleasantries get men no where, Jack Sparrow. What is your wish?

Jack: Is that the riddle?

Scylla: No.

Jack: Damn. We wish to get into Shipwreck Cove.

Norrington: You'd better know what to do, Sparrow.

(Jack looks over Teague. They seem to know something)

Barbossa: Think carefully who you would choose to answer the riddle, Jack.

Jack: Can we just go?

Scylla: I never was, am always to be,
None ever saw me, nor ever will,
And yet I am the confidence of all
Who live and breathe on this terrestrial ball.

Answer correctly, in you may go.
Choose not to answer, and simply sail away.
Answer incorrectly.....

Jack: I can imagine.

Scylla: Who of your crew, captain, shall you have answer?

(Jack turns around. He eyes Barbossa and Teague. They seem to urge him to pick them)

Jack: I choose James Norrington.

Norrington: What?

Barbossa: What?

(Jack pushes Norrington up)

Jack: It's simple, mate. Just answer the question.

Norrington: But why didn't you....

Jack: (whispers to him) You don't want to know the consequence of getting the answer right.

Norrington: Then why the bloody hell did you pick me?

Jack: (whispering still) Whoever the captain chooses to answer the question becomes the captain until they leave Shipwreck Cove. Savvy?

Norrington: And why me?

Jack: The two of them, meh, both seem like stupid decisions. It was a toss up between you and Lizzie, and let's face it, it does more for you to impress her than her to impress you.

Norrington: You did this for ROMANTIC reasons?!

Jack: Pretty much.

Scylla: What do you decide, James Norrington?

Liz: Be careful, James. We can always sail away and try to find the answer.

Teague: Mistakes, mistakes.

Norrington: Could you repeat it please?

Scylla: I never was, am always to be,
None ever saw me, nor ever will,
And yet I am the confidence of all
Who live and breathe on this terrestrial ball.

(Norrington closes his eyes and thinks)

Liz: Why did Jack choose James?

Gibbs: Because he's smart.

Barbossa: Because he's a fool.

Teague: You're both wrong. It's because the boy's daft.

Liz: I would trust him if I were you.

Swann: Easier said than done, my dear. We have to see if Norrington knows the answer.

Gibbs: If he don't, we'd better start preparing a longboat.

Bootstrap: Or last rights. I only hope Will will know the answer.

Liz: Will.

(Norrington opens his eyes)
Norrington: The answer is "tomorrow."

Scylla: You have answered correctly. Prepare to captain your ship in Shipwreck Cove.

Jack: Excellent.

Barbossa: Idiot! (draws sword on him) You can't have an officer captain a crew of pirates!

(Norrington and Jack draw their swords.)

Gibbs: I'd put it away, Barbossa. (has gun aimed at him)

Barbossa: Where the devil did you get that?

Gibbs: Doesn't matter. Not so much an oaf him what's got a gun, eh?

Teague: (draws sword) You won't get anywhere by all threatening each other. (Pulls Liz in to him, puts sword across her) Now, everyone put your weapons down, or we'll have one less crew member.

(Liz jabs him and whips out her sword)

Liz: You'll regret that one, Teague Sparrow.

Swann: (picks up metal hammer on the deck) I may not have a sword, but this will kill any man that comes near me or her.

(Bootstrap just shakes his head at this mess)

Barbossa: Have at thee then!

Boostrap: Oh.....what the hell? (gets out sword. A huge sword battle takes place on the Pearl. Nearly everyone is fighting each other)

CUT TO WILL'S SHIP

(Anamaria is looking through her spyglass)

Pintel: We're approaching Shipwreck Cove, Turner.

Will: Thank you. I don't know what lies ahead there, so be ready for anything.

Ragetti: Anything's the worse kind of something.

Pintel: Unless it's everything.

Ragetti: Everything can sometimes be good.

(Will ignores them)

Will: What are you looking at?

Anamaria: I'm not entirely sure. Look over at what's on the Black Pearl there. (hands him spyglass) I think they're fighting.

yeah, if you guys want Will and Co. to answer a different riddle, go to
http://www.enigmagraphics.com/riddles/index.htm. It will also give you the answers. I'm not much of a riddler. What I was thinking is that Barbossa wanted Jack to choose him so he could just be the captain of a ship again and Teague wanted it to use the Pearl for some side-mission involving some kind of web of intrigue. That's really more of a Kate thing. I like where this is going!

arg im on the phone and i cant multi-task hold on i'll read it and freak out in a minute

Ok, I have one for Will's ship...or does someone else want to write it? 😄

I'm going to bed. You ladies take over. I think I gave you a lot to work with.

holy crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW i may FREAK OUT!!!

Willofthewisp, I really truly mean that when I say that was your best bit yet. Really, really awesome. I LOVED it. I could imagine it all happening... it was so great. 🙂 wow.

you know how your cheeks get sore when you smile for a long time? I always feel that way when I get on this thread because it's always so good and I am always out of words to cheer you people on, you're just awesome.

Wow. It just seemed sooooo much to go with the flow of the films--- them all finding themselves in these completely ridiculous situations--- AH! Love it.

Thanks! I had fun writing it.

STILL ON WILL'S SHIP

Will: Fighting? (looks through spyglass) Pirates.

Anamaria: We'll be coming up on Scylla soon. Rumor has it we answer a question.

Will: Can you handle those two down there by yourself for a while?

Anamaria: Single-handedly. Why?

Will: I need to go over there and talk some sense into them. (prepares a longboat) I should be back in time to help with the question. I think together we could find an answer to whatever it may be.

Anamaria: Right. (considers kissing him) Don't get poked and prodded too much over there.

(Will starts rowing towards the Pearl)

CUT TO PEARL

(Norrington rolls away out of his fight and grabs Gibbs' pistol. He fires up into the air and for at least the time being, the action has halted.)

Norrington: Now that everyone's gotten that out of their system, we can continue to Shipwreck Cove. Or did everyone forget that's what we were supposed to be doing?

(Everyone slowly puts weapons away)

Norrington: Good. I didn't even have to ask you to do that. Sparrow, you're up here with me. Everyone else, back to work.

(Jack comes up to him)

Jack: That's exactly how I would have handled it.

Norrington: Shut up. I never asked to be the captain of your ship. I'm used to people that can take orders, who have some form of discipline.

Jack: That's me crew you're talking about, Norrie. All you have to worry about is Barbossa and the older, less attractive Sparrow on this ship.

Norrington: Why couldn't you have just dropped him back off with your mother?

(Jack says nothing)

Norrington: Well, they're here, so best make due. What are we expecting when we get up here?

Jack: Pirates and more pirates. Everyone should be coming with Calypso not far behind. In all fairness, mate, your main jobs are to make sure we all get there alive and leave there alive.

Norrington: Wonderful.

CUT TO WILL

(Will is coming close to the Pearl. He is not yet to Scylla but can see the Pearl in plain sight.)

VOICE: Not so fast, Turner!

(Will looks up. The Flying Dutchman has appeared from nowhere with Beckett yelling down at him)

Beckett: It would amaze you to know how fast we could demolish that little boat of yours.

(Will says nothing but slyly takes his knife from his belt and sneaks it up his sleeve)

Beckett: You have no choice but to surrender and show us the way to Pirates Cove.

Meh, one more.

(Liz is inside the Pearl practicing knots. She messes up a few times, but eventually gets one right. She smiles to herself now that she's alone and gazes out the port hole, as if searching for something.

She does see something. She grabs a spyglass to get a better look. It is Will being hoisted onto the Flying Dutchman.

She runs up to the deck to where Norrington and Jack are)

Liz: They have the other ship! They took Will!

Norrington: Took Will?

Liz: (hands him the spyglass) Here. You can see it. We have to go back and help.

Jack: Did you forget about the question-asking monster, love?

Liz: But they took Will. He'd go back to save me.

Norrington: We're so close, Elizabeth. If they only have Will, I'm sure the rest of his crew can help him escape.

Liz: Please! Please! He's in trouble. I know it. Let me go back if you won't. I won't let Beckett capture him.

Jack: (trying to calm her down) Love, you'd only get yourself caught, too.

Liz (now near hysterical): Someone is going back for Will right now, and it's going to be and me and me alone. (reaches for Norrington's sword on his belt. No, his literal sword, you perverts)

(Norrington holds her from it)

Jack: (always thinking) I'll tell you what, darling. If you and the Commodore think you can handle Barbossa for a while, I'll go meself.

Liz: What? You would?

Norrington: You would? Why?

Jack: Maybe I feel like being noble, or just gettin' out by me onesy. Either way, I've saved Will Turner before, I'll save him again.

(Liz hugs him tightly. Norrington looks a little pissed)

Jack: Mind the Pearl. (leaves)

Norrington: I suppose you trust that pirate.

Liz: With my life. (doesn't really see Norrington is upset) You have to have another guide of someone who's been here before.

Norrington: That was the whole reason I kept him up here with me. He has a plan, Elizabeth, that's what you're not seeing. He wouldn't leave for just Will. He'd do it for you, but I don't think so about Turner.

Liz: Perhaps he left for Anamaria as well.

Norrington: Be that as it may, I'm walking blind now.

Liz: Barbossa.

Norrington: No. He can't be trusted.

Liz: I can make him trustworthy. (takes his sword. runs down to opposite end of deck where he has his back to her and points it right at the base of his neck) You're going to help us into Shipwreck Cove. And no tricks.

(Barbossa turns and grins)

Barbossa: You like gettin' the best of me, do ye, lass?

Liz: This isn't getting the best of you. This is getting us all in there alive.

Barbossa: Maybe.

As usual, wonderful work, loved reading it!

oh, can we change the name of beckett's ship to his old flagship instead of the flying dutchman, cause i think i sort of sank the flying dutchman a page or two ago... lol.

Okay, i'll go on a bit.

Cut to back to the other other boat (gah, we really need to name all these stupid boats) where Anamaria is standing with her spyglass, as she watches William taken up to Beckett's ship.

Anamaria: Tia Dalma! Can't you do something?

Tia: Against Beckett? Not yet. Dat's why we're coming to de cove. But he musnt be allowed to enter. Why don't ye go stop dem?

Anamaria looks at her incredulously, like, are you nuts? Tia raises her eyebrows.

CUT TO Anamaria in a longboat, rowing towards Beckett's ship with a very pissed expression on her face. As she grabs on to a rope, she sees Jack rowing up as well.

Jack: Well hello. What is this, a party?

Anamaria: Jack!

Jack: Here to save the whelp, too, eh?

Anamaria: Maybe... but listen Jack, I need to tell you--

Too late. Beckett's cronies have got them up now, though Jack draws his sword and wards them back. Scylla makes her appearance (at which Jack rolls his eyes, all the fanfair is sort of getting old) and Beckett grins.

Will: (muttering to Jack) what happened aboard your ship? I was coming over to stop all the fighting.

Jack: (also quietly) We were just debating something. Problem solved now.

Will: And everyone's safe?

Jack: More or less.

Scylla: I am the black child of a white father;
A wingless bird, flying even to the clouds of heaven.
I give birth to tears of mourning in pupils that meet me,
and at once on my birth I am dissolved into air.

Beckett: That will be one of you answering, then.

Jack: Beckett, it's interesting how you seem to follow us around the caribbean. Found yourself a compass, did ye?

Beckett: (getting uncomfortable with Scylla waiting) I choose Jack Sparrow to answer the question.

Jack rolls his eyes.

Jack: Bugger. Care to repeat it?

Scylla: I am the black child of a white father;
A wingless bird, flying even to the clouds of heaven.
I give birth to tears of mourning in pupils that meet me,
and at once on my birth I am dissolved into air.

Anamaria is trying to make some sort of eye conversation with Jack. Finally she just grabs his hand and whispers something in his ear. Beckett prods Jack with a sword.

Beckett: (annoyed) Who comes up with riddles like this?

Jack: That would be the Greeks.

Scylla: Answer or perish.

Jack: Ah, right. Answer. How about... mayonaise.

Beckett and Will turn and look at Jack, like, YOU ARE CRAZY! Jack grins.

Scylla: The correct answer was smoke. The three prisoners are free to abandon ship.

Beckett: What?! Where was that in the rules?

The three prisoners have already abandoned ship, and are paddling furiously for the Pearl. They turn back, expecting to see Scylla destroying Beckett's ship without mercy, but Beckett seems to be having an extra word with her. Eventually, Scylla blows upon Beckett's ship and it sails away quickly.

Will: What on earth just happened?

Anamaria: Scylla has an understanding with Tia Dalma. She told her of the situation.

Jack: But why did Beckett get let off?

Anamaria: (shrugs, then grins wickedly) Maybe he has an understanding with Scylla, too?

Will: Why did you two come after me, anyways?

They both turn red and mutter various excuses, while Will looks puzzled.

CUT TO a lonely dock on the cove, leading to a small round island with a lagoon in the middle. Shipwrecks stick out of the water--- from what look like ancient ships. The crew of both the pearl and Will's ship finally meet up there. Elizabeth rushes over to Will.

Elizabeth: You're safe!

Will: Yes... (they look at each other awkwardly for a moment, as Jack strides up, clapping Will on the back.)

Jack: Pardon me Elizabeth dear, but I need a moment alone with Mr. Turner.

Elizabeth nods, and ducks away. She glances over to find the two of them speaking intensly, and Will's hand straying to his sword. Jack swats it away and continues talking to him. Finally Will brushes by her without a word, and Jack saunters up, anything but pleased.

Elizabeth: What was that about?

Jack: Nothing.

Elizabeth raises an eyebrow, wondering what he's keeping from her, but Jack puts on all his charm to change the subject and leads her towards the lagoon. Other pirates have arrived, and a large crowd of them are seating inside the lagoon, around the water, holding torches and candles.

Suddenly, Tia Dalma pulls Elizabeth aside and drops something into her hand-- it's one of the pieces of eight.

Tia: Sao Feng is dead at the hands of Beckett. He has bequeathed you his position in the pirate brethran.

Elizabeth: Me? Why?

Tia Dalma: who can say?

Elizabeth: But I don't know anything about--

Tia: Are ye refusing a dying man's last request?

Elizabeth looks at Tia Dalma steadily as her hand closes around the piece of eight. Tia smiles.

CUT TO...

Good work, Kate. I propose we name the ships sometime, too before I post the finished product on fanfiction. I really like this script, although it's hard to judge how long a movie it would make.

Tia Dalma: But now is the time to find the way to the other pirates.

Liz: I suppose we'll all be going then. (looks back to see where Will and Jack went off to)

Tia: Perhaps.

Norrington: I do suggest, however, that a few stay and mind the boat.

Swann: I think that's a task I would better be suited for.

Liz: Father, are you sure?

Swann: I can manage a docked boat, Elizabeth. What I can't manage is a great number of pirates who all know my name, if you take my meaning.

(Liz hugs him)

Liz: Have I told you how proud I am of you?

Swann: Not as many times as I've told you. (kisses the top of her head)
Anyone else staying?

Bootstrap: I'll stay. Scylla might still have something of an appetite.

Teague: I think I'll go wherever Jack went off to. We have some unfinished business.

(Barbossa looks at him suspiciously)

Teague: A few should go on to scout out a path.

Liz: Like travel in smaller groups?

Teague: Avoiding capture that way, too, dearie.

Liz: Very well. I'll go on ahead with James, unless you don't see yourself as captain anymore?

Norrington: Mr. Gibbs.

Gibbs: Aye, uh, captain?

Norrington: As soon as Captain Sparrow and Mr. Turner return, they are to be the second with Anamaria. Everyone else will be the last group. Those minding the boat....cast off only if everyone returns. (he and Liz start off)

Bootstrap: Aren't you concerned your daughter is alone with a man not her fiance?

Swann: That's the Commodore, sir. He's more than trustworthy.

CUT TO NORRINGTON AND LIZ'S PATH

(It's Fiji, so there are beautiful tropic sights everywhere, although not as dangerous looking as the cannibal island)

Liz: What will you do when this is all over?

Norrington: You mean my rescue mission that's gone completely off course? (smiles at her, share a brief laugh) I have no idea. It all depends on Beckett's status, I suppose.

Liz: Beckett doesn't run the navy.

Norrington: You'd be surprised at the corruption and influence occuring. But never mind. I suppose you should be more concerned about where your fiance and Jack have gotten off to.

Liz: I don't wonder about that anymore. The two of them together will always mean trouble later. (pause) How did Jack know you'd know the answer to that riddle?

Norrington: I don't think he did. (laugh again) I'm fairly decent at riddles, though. I was hoping she'd ask one I knew. (comes up to a hole) Watch it.

Liz: Ooh, that would be no good to the others.

Norrington: No. (side steps it but falls into one next to it)

Liz: James! (looks in. It's not all that deep, and nothing supernatural about it. Just a small hole) Here. (Helps pull him out)

Norrington: (on ground) The duties of a captain, I suppose. (sees Liz sitting on the ground next to him where he's laying. They lock eyes. He can't hold off anymore)

(Norrington rushes to her in a gentle but forceful way, taking her to the ground and begins to kiss her. Liz is very much enjoying it and wraps her arms around him)

Norrington: (cupping her head, looking into her eyes) I haven't stopped thinking about you, Elizabeth. I haven't stopped loving you.

Someone continue!

yay! well why don;t we make this a little bit interesting.

So there they are, kissing passionately, and suddenly Will comes along. Crap.

Liz: (disentangling herself) Will!

Norrington: Mr Turner.

Will: What the hell is going on here?

Norrington: (offers weakly) Just a bit of piracy, I guess.

Will: I cant believe... I guess it's safe to say we're no longer engaged, Elizabeth.

Stalks off into the jungle. Elizabeth groans.

Elizabeth: That was not how I pictured that conversation happening.

Norrington: (pulling her up) Come on. We'd best reach the gathering before they all get too far ahead.

CUT TO Will stomping through the jungle. He finds Anamaria, grabs her, and pulls her behind a tree where he begins to kiss her passionately. Anamaria pulls away a little confused.

Anamaria: Will... what has... why do I get the feeling you're just using me for revenge?

Will: (laughing harshly) Maybe because I am?

Anamaria: (thinks for a minute, then grins) Eh, what the hell. We're pirates, right? (she grabs him and they continue to kiss.)

Suddenly Jack comes along. Crap.

Jack: What in the name of all that's sacred is going on here?

Anamaria: Jack!

Will: Captain Sparrow.

Jack: While we're all playing musical lovers, I'll have you remember our earlier conversation, Turner. And you! (turns to Anamaria) Seducing the whelp in the jungle while the brethran wait for us? Thought you had a better head on your shoulders than all that.

He grabs them both and shoves them forward along the path, to the entrance to the lagoon. The gathering has begun.

dude i've got nothing else. lol. my brain is fried. i'm going to go lay out by the pool. 😉

yeepee

Hmm, so what exactly were Jack and Will saying to each other?

CUT TO PIRATE GATHERING

Pirates from all regions of the world, all ages, all shapes and sizes, males and females, are gathered around a large lagoon where some of their ships are docked.

Xiang: (from Sao's palace) Come to order! Come to order.

Gibbs: How did she...

Jack: Sh.

Xiang: We need to make sure all the Pieces of 8 are here.

(Jack, Teague, Barbossa, and Liz step up with theirs)

(The rest follow suit)

Xiang: Very good. I trust you know that only your votes will count in what we do.

Liz: (whispers to Jack) I didn't know that.

Jack: (whispers back) Best pay attention then.

Teague: Where be the goddess herself?

Calypso: (pops up out of the water, only a glimmer of how we knew her before still exists) Teague Sparrow, before I can admit your vote to count, you best come clean.

Teague: Come clean? Fine then. Jack, I wanted you to choose me because I need a ship.

Jack: For what?

Teague: Beckett and I got into it a while back, and well, I owe him a ship. I was going to take the Pearl and go back to him. Sparing all you, of course.

Jack: Of course.

Calypso: What does the pirate council decide to do about this?

Liz: His vote should count like any other.

(the rest look at her)

Liz: Who here hasn't done something equally dastardly?

(they step back)

Calypso: Very well. There must be a final battle, but be warned. Those who live may not stay pirates for much long after. Leaders with your appointed Piece of 8, you will be in charge.

Norrington: (to Gibbs) I thought whoever answered the riddle was captain for until leaving.

Gibbs: I think word from Calypso can change that slightly. Tell you what, you can be captain if Jack dies.

Norrington: How exciting.

Calypso: The East India Trading Company has become corrupt and mad with its own power. And now that they have sided with Davy Jones, they can wipe out the entire population that stands before me today. (disappears)

(Chaotic talking follows)

(Jack fires pistol into the water)

Jack: Now that those in charge have your full attention.... Those with the Pieces of 8 each need a ship and the crew divided up.

Pirate: Who says we're to listen to the likes of Jack Sparrow?

Jack: Captain Jack Sparrow.

Pirate 2: All that's ever been told of Jack Sparrow is lies and treachery.

Pirate 3: Some of that we'll need now.

Pirate 2: But he'll betray us just when things start not to go his way.

(Jack makes a typical Jack-disgusted face at this)

Pirate 4: But he sacked Nassau Port without even firing a shot!

Pirate 5: It must have been the reason he returned from the locker! It is clear he was meant to come back to help us.

Barbossa (playing along): Yes. That's exactly it.

Jack: Did anyone come and get me just because they missed me?

(random monkey raises paw)

Jack: Anyway, who here has a better plan? There best be some trust here among this sordid outfit.

Teague: Aye! I don't deserve it. Bad lot, even among pirates. You! You, boy! (points to Will)

Will: Me?

Teague: Take this. You've been more honorable than this old dog, I can see it.

(Will takes the Piece of 8, looks at Liz)

Liz: I suppose it's another task where we'll just have to put our differences aside for the moment.

(Will ignores her. Liz looks crushed)

Jack: All right then. Lads, traitor, whelp, Lizzie. Start preparing your ships.

If anyone wants to participate, come on. I'm at a block. Kate said she was. Let's give folks the sea battle of the century and resolve all this.

OMG Im sorry if im invading here but Im having an emotional outbreak here.

Its not about the writers at all. Im really sorry im envading here but I have no other place to go.

whats going on Chiki?
