Plenty of authors utilize the word "and" as the first word in a sentence.

And quite frankly I don't see anything wrong it. Hehe.

'in it.'

'in it.'

or 'with it.'

That was a typo. Anything else is purely to annoy you.

Oh, no I don't think that much.

I'm more concerned with the content of the post rather than how it is presented.

I voted for Hilary.

Change in taste? I seem to recall you kidding around that you'd vote for Edwards cause he's cuter...

Listening to Obama speak in Houston right now; I swear he has a little extra twang in his voice, eff'ing politicians.

I'm not even sure what you are trying to imply

Think hard, it will come to you.

Edit: I'll give you two hints., "Houston" and "twang".

Pandering?

Sir, if you had a dog, his name would be Bingo.

I'm just not looking forward to 4 to 8 years of Martin Luther King impersonations.

But, I also understand it works.

The last 8 years of Curious George impersonations should have thickened your skin; I feel ya though.

I mean I don't think a speech given by a black man needs to sound like an impersonation of MLK.

As for the "it works" part, I mean I understand that some people fall for it.

Why does it sound like an MLK speech to you? Where did that come from in your mind? I don't recall him saying that. (I'm asking for clarifaction only, not to be an ass)

It's the inflection in his voice. When I hear him speak in interviews or in informal settings, he doesn't have the same august latitude in his voice. Perhaps it would be better to say that I wish any black man giving a speech didn't have to sound like MLK. King preached as though he was standing in black baptist church, and that's what I hear in Obama's voice when he delivers a speech.

I'm not saying I don't support him, I'm saying I hate the pretense.

Shrug, I guess

I almost died tonight trying to listen to Obama's victory speech that they covered on CNN for what seemed like hours. The guy tries so hard to be this great orator and it just comes off way too contrived for my liking. Especially, as Devil King said, in the way he tries to emulate the King.

It is probably contrived more to me because I realize he is just like any other politician, but nonetheless...

That skirts the edge of sounding arrogant.

I wouldn't assume everyone else doesn't realize that he is simply a politician, and playing the opposite very wel on television . As Bill Maher said on his show 2 weeks ago, it had to be exactly the right guy at the right time, to be the black candidate for president.

That speech did drag on though, and I was actually suprised they interrupted Hill dog's speech to televise his.
