i want obama to win but knowing how racism is still active in america im afraid the man will be like jfk and get assasinated. but if i had to vote republican i vote for ron mfing paul

I've watched like two or three of his shows since he proclaimed his love for Obama and he hasn't made a single joke about him and defends him non-stop like he doesn't do any wrong. To go from thinking Ron Paul is your hero (he said this on his show once) and tells the truth to a 180 with Obama is odd.
He makes fun of both Hillary and Obama. But more so of Obama's wife. And, of course, he makes fum of John McCain most of all.
Not odd. Again, "realistic".

I think racism is overestimated by a lot of people. Look at Edwards. It's almost like he was unable to compete because he was white and he was a man. Things that used to be advantages to candidates seem to be tipping now...

It may be realistic on the basis of "he will win" purely. But anything else, it's odd and wrong IMO.
For a long time, I considered it too early to count Paul out. He still has a lot of money. But the closer the convention gets the less I hear about him. If he's going to do anything, he needs to get on the ball.
Who knows, he may be raising money now to seriously run in the next presidential election.

I don't get the whole fascination with Obama...
Is it because he is charismatic? He is very inexperienced, really says nothing in his adds except that there will be change, and has never accomplished anything real significant in politics. This is like the fad over Pet Rocks a few decades back. Sure you can buy one, everyone else has, but why? What does it offer?
I am an independant, bur the democratic candidates this year suck. I hope McCain gets the presidency.
And honestly I'd take Hillary over Obama.
