Using my impressive detective skills I tracked down Thunder in his natural habitat (hint - look at the feet)...

If you look at the sign you can see 'RMAN' preceded by what looks like the end of an 'O'. Thundar would never show up to a Morman event.

You never know, the Jesus impersonator might be there to smite Mormons with his ridiculously small cross. Look at the rabbit beg for mercy, he knows he's in for a smiting.

Which of course seems perfect for a sock (socks with sandals... not even Jesus can pull that off.)

But the rabbit looks so happy... The gaze of the impersonator seems fixed on someone though. scared

I'm actually the rabbit. 😆

You enjoy a good smiting eh?

Is that why the rabbit is smiling? Dominatrix style or what?

I do not feel it is a great offense to poke light hearted fun at Jesus Christ as a character, but to make fun of his suffering is a whole other level of low

Do we even know that he suffered?

Assuming he was crucifed . . . yes

Maybe he had a hear attack and died.

Maybe one of his followers got him off.

Maybe another man (even Jesus himself) took the punishment.

Maybe. But that seems to be a long shot.

I believe he was kept under gaurd so that would be tough.

Are we talking about Jesus being cruxified?

You're assuming "Jesus" was crucified.

My point is, you don't really know. We can assume the bible is true. But the bile has other motives besides "truth."

Just keep that in mind.

I realize that the bible is not an absolute truth.

From a story internal analysis of Jesus' death it seems likely that it was him that died.

A) His personality doesn't match with the type who would let another die just so he could get away
B) It would be nearly impossible for him to escape once he was there
C) Any switch would have to be made before his initial capture as he would have been under constant supervision after that

A) His personality, as defined by the Bible, which is "History."

B) Why. How much do you know about crucifictions and execution policy in the eastern Roman Empire.

C) Which is why its more likely that someone else went first.

I am half and half of this.

His personality as defined by the story.

I'm arguing from a stand point of the Bible as a novel in discussion of its characters it's best to go on what appears in the story.

Cruxifiction was apparently reserved for people accused of treason. Jesus (as defined by the story) was also a charismatic rabble rouser. They would almost certainly have posted gaurds (not to mention some are mentioned in the story).

I think you're assuming that the Romans wanted this guy to escape.

Background check on the person they bring in would be likely to uncover a trick like that.

What on earth are you talking about? Lord Urizen, has your temporary ban made you see the light or something? "a whole other level of low" - wow, this from Urizen.

I don't remember making fun of Jesus' supposed suffering, rather his god-awful socks which possibly still post on this forum (I guess smiter will no longer be needed.)

As for the picture, where I got it of the web it is apparently part of some regular Christian festival some place in the middle of no where carries out annually. Somehow I don't think they mocked his apparent suffering either.

Besides, look at him. He has socks, and the cross is to small, no way he got crucified like that.

I must have read the picture wrong then...no biggie

Thundar is definately Whob...and im getting tired of him sending his socks to harass us.....I had problems with Whob in the past, im trying to just ignore him and his stupidity.

Even if Jesus didn't exist, I just don't like the idea of making fun of anyone's suffering, even an imaginary character's. I take suffering, all suffering, seriously.

But seeing as how you did not do that, I will take back what I said. 🙂
