The opening post said NOTHING about a specific version Despero so if he uses multiple forms we just use the average. Now Despero's average is pretty high but he DOES have some low showings against Fire(who made him cry out in pain), Martian Manhunter(who has messed with his mind), Superman(heat vision), Hawkman's mace, and a freakin shark so he's in no way untouchable.

And if it were a comic I have no doubt in my mind that Surfer would fight the same way, but we're not talking about a fight in a comic we're talking about a fight on the forum. In a forum fight the Flash WOULD be launching a bunch of IMP's, Kyle/Hal WOULD be going exotic, WW WOULD be trying decapitation, and Supes WOULD take his ass to the sun. See I'm not saying or trying to imply that Surfer can do what the combined JLA is unable to do, I'm pointing out that Surfer can do most of the things that the JLA COULD do but "forgets" about when the fighting starts. It's not much different than Hulk taking on multiple Avengers at the same time even though the individual Avengers have the ability to take him out solo when they remember all the powers at their disposal.

What's more, if you look at the opening post this fight is free of both PIS AND CIS, and in that sceneo Despero is absolutely screwed unless he can return from a temporal BFR.

Wrong. Surfer was temporarily mind controlled by 30 cosmic cubes and then broke free. I'd love to see any scans you can produce that suggest she could have taken over his mind without the cubes. If he can break free when she's got the cubes backing her it seems a bit of a stretch to say that she could have ever taken control without them(unless you have any evidence to that effect that is).

I always wondered if SS was able to be mind controlled. Is that the only instance?

If he is caught off guard i think he could be tp manipulated of course only till he puts up mental defense wall.. I beleived its been done 3x before..

It's the only instance I can think of were it was done successfully. I might be overlooking an instance but I honestly don't think so.

The Runner wasn't really mind control though, it's kinda hazy as to what the source of his "likable power" is(and even then the Surfer was fighting, he was just holding back more). And the Other... those guys are like Galactus level aren't they?

Now that I think about it though he WAS affected by Eros's emotional powers but then again those work on pretty much everyone regardless of their mental defenses. I mean that guy started to manipulate Thanos's mind when he had the Infinity Gauntlet.

Yah, the Other was A G level but the one that Affected Surfer was not the totality of the Other..

I was actually thinking of the instance were Eros calmed him down during his fight with Firelord. What bar scene are you thinking of?

Dont remember the issue but as i recall surfer visited Titan, they went to a bar to lighten up Surfer, didnt work.. lol Ahm i quess Eros was lookin for a longterm solution..

Was it with Nebula story arc w/ the firelord, eros incident?
