Hulk had Wolverine in both hands and was prepared to or already started pulling. It was obvious that tearing Wolvie apart was Hulk's intention. Something must've happened.

It is supposed to be a four part mini "series", that takes place at the end of this current Wolverine issue and the next three. Seeing as Wolverine having a flash back that belongs to Ultimate Wolverine is the only conflict that they established in the first issue, I'm going to say it was more substantial then just amusement.

He just had a bad moment. I curse the city I live in sometimes, but I'm not moving out or anything.
You couldn't blame him for feeling that way, anyway. Some of his worst, most traumatic experiences took place in Canada.
