Ha Nickey, you beat me to the punch, I was about to come and post this thread today.
I actually just posted this news on my website. I also posted some pictures of Daniel in this play.

(yes the website is finally out, I know) But anyways, go check out the pictures in the gallery. Daniel's going to be in this play called "Equus." and there's a nude scene or something like that. I'm really not sure how to take this. He's young, I really don't see a point to "shed his Harry Potter" image or whatever. It seems a bit much.

Whew, I thought you came here to close the thread.
I don't care whatever movie he plays in.
I just hope he finishes all the Harry Potter movies.
I'm holding breath until the 10:00 news tonight
People have to remember that Daniel Radcliffe isn't Harry Potter. He's an actor. An actor that wants longevity in his career.
There's only two movies left after the 5th one is out. And by then he'll be 23 or 24.
He's of legal age in UK and I applaud him for taking a serious role (most theatre enthusiasts consider his role in Equus to be very difficult and very demanding) to be a serious actor.
Harry Potter won't exist forever. Hell, the series ends in July. Does Daniel deserve his acting career to end with the book/movies? No. The purpose of such a serious and exhibitionist role is to break out of the Harry Potter mold. By strutting nude around a stage and stimulating an orgasm on stage as well, he's showing to the world that he's no longer a little boy, he's an adult who can do whatever he pleases, he intends to be a serious actor and he most certainly not Harry flipping Potter.
People need to learn to distinguish the character from the actor. They're not the same things. He's only trying to lengthen his career and have a successful job.

Bravo for that and very well said. You certainly saved me a job. I've been gnawing my knuckles in irritation at the reactions I've come across to this news 😂
The majority of fans seriously need to grow up. Daniel is.
