Amping up Captain America to beat Spider man is one thing, since it's within the realm of possibility. It's also PIS. It would be the same if they made Luke Cage beat Ms.Marvel.
Amping up BP to arm-bari'ing someone on herald, then completely changing a major character's (Storm) personality, making her look like an idiot and ignore all past character history, make all white characters turn out like stuck up pigs. That is not just PIS but also racism.

Well Newjack, thats a pretty dumb statement. In history, whenever a powerful black man arises (Malcolm X, Martin Luther King) what happens.A mob of black people arise to see/listen to him.
Hell even In Christopher priest's run, whenever black Panther came to the airport in America, a mob of black people were waiting to see him. I recall one page, where Capitan America had asked Black panther to help speak to a crowd of Black people who came to see him before the NYPD needlessly attacked them for fear that the "Black" crowd was going to get out of control.
Yes Christopher Priest wrote this.
Its the way it is Newjack, Christopher Priest knows it, as well as Reginald Hudlin.
There is nothing "Racial" about a mob of blacks, supporting a powerful "Black" King.
I think Hudlin says it best, I enjoy Point 6 the most....
Hudlins words......
[b]YOUR RACE, POLITICS, RELIGION OR GENDER (or gender preference) DOESN’T MAKE YOU RIGHT. Some examples:
Being black doesn’t make you an expert on being black.
Being white doesn’t make you “more objective” than someone who isn’t.
Being a white woman or being white gay male doesn’t give you special insights into racial matters.
And the race, religion, etc of your spouse/best friend/significant other doesn’t matter either.
2.
IF YOU DON’T READ THE BOOK BUT ARE WILLING TO ARGUE ABOUT IT EITHER YOU ARE:a) An idiot who doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
b) A liar who is a fan who can’t admit it to himself or others.
3.
SOMETHING IS ONLY RUSHED IF YOU’RE NOT IN A HURRY TO GET THERE.4.
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN “RACIAL” AND “RACIST”. Look them up.5.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS “REVERSE RACISM”. THERE IS ONLY RACISM. If you think black success means white failure, then look at the scene in BORAT with the frat boys, and realize the joke is on YOU.6.
IS (fill in the name of a black comic book writer) A RACIST?
When I first met Dwayne McDuffie and Christopher Priest they would tell me stories about how they would be called racist by fanboys whenever they wrote strong black characters. The stories were so unbelievable…well, it’s not like I DIDN’T believe them, because both McDuffie and Priest are men of great integrity, but I couldn’t really imagine their work inspiring idiotic comments like that.Well, a decade later, I am experiencing it first hand. Either a) the only black people Marvel and DC are willing to hire are all racists, or b) black superheroes acting like superheroes offends some fans.
Once you figure out (see point 4) discussing race is not inherently “racist” and (see point 5) black heroes winning against white opponents is not “racist”, but simply doing what other heroes too…then you’ll feel a lot better about life. If you don’t…seek help. Really.

i dont know how to put a finger on doom. i would wager that a guy who has the balls to think he would be doing the world a favor by ruling it would inherently think he's superior to all men anyway, but strangely the comment he made to BP sounded like something he would say😬 i dont think he's gonna apply for klan membership anytime soon, but even if he's not a die hard racist i really dont think he consider's BP is equal

the south is still pretty segregated and there is a lot of racism still in the south...just because laws have outlawed discrimination doesn't mean racism have left people's hearts

maybe, but who else could he use?
if you haven't noticed, there aren't many popular black heroes with their own books that fans actually get exposure to.
I guess Hudlin could've used an obscure character, but he wants the issues in the forefront, not in the background.

No, he joined because Golith died, and no one on the Pro-Registration cared about his death. BP, saw this as unacceptable, a long time member and friend of the same team death goes unwarrented. And on top of that, Cap is one of his best and closet friends.
EDIT: Oh and not to mention, Stark and T'Challa have always, ALWAYS, in the history of there history, not trusted each-other.

Im glad someone realize's its not as serious as many are making it to be.
Sadly however, your point will be ignored.

This of course brings me to another point that is so bad about Hudlin's writing he is so wrapped up in this I have to create Racal overtones that no matter what I have to do it. He does it simply for the sake of doing it. Most people don't like that kind of writing ever.
Originally posted by ApolloknightThats right the only reason he did was becuase Goliath died. This gave Hudlin just what he wanted. Once agian the only reason BP was ever placed in Civil War is because Hudlin wanted hi mtoact as a racial undetone for it. 😬

And T'Challa may not have trusted Tony but he still respected him as shown when he tried to get Cap and IM to talk.
I do I agree that the Doom thing wasn't so bad because he tends to think everyone is inferior to him.

unfortunately, those 2 guys have 1/10th the popularity of BP.
Seriously what Hudlin is doing stinks on every level. Luke Cage is still pretty popular nad has had some very decent exposure over last couple of months years. Thanks to Avengers and Civil War.
And thanks to the Blade movies he probably has even more popularity then BP.

personally I've never read Hudlins works or BP so I can't really comment.
I think Hudlin just bringing more realism to comics...and maybe people don't want that. I mean, it used to seem like racism didn't even exist in the comic world, perhaps there's a move to reflect issues going on today in comics.
