Yeah, I'm not sure if you already knew this, but it's basically a lot like Desperado, but the bad guys are chasing the wrong guy, a real Mariachi who has no idea why all these dudes are after him, who is not the assassin played by Antonio Bandaras in the sequel. Both are directed by Robert Rodriguez, but El Mariachi is the film that put him on the map. He shot it all in Mexico for less than 8,000 dollars or something like that. It's super low budget, but it's really good. Once Upon A Time In Mexico is supposed to be the end of the Trilogy, but I didn't like that one all that much.
