maybe -- or maybe they were softened up after the lengthy (almost a full-book) battle. maybe zeus underestimated them -- which seems likely, but even allowing for all that they STILL humbled and hurt him. the only counter to that is to cry PIS/CIS to which i say, meh, maybe, but based on other showings by zeus i'd vote against it being either.

And yes Zeus was resisted but to what degree we have no clue. He was basically in control of the fight at all times. It's hard to say just how far he was going. I know he was in a rage but if Zeus truely was in the leagues of Odin who is well beyond planet busters I'm sure Zeus could have ended the fight rather quickly. If you want to compare Zeus to Odin.

it's fruitless to say would-have-could-have when all we have are the showings at hand.

Also the point is that SS in the only direct confertation with Odi nwas pretty much pimp slapped down. Also thor who is SS's basic equal is low below Odin in power. One showing of helping doesn't account for much especially when looking at a bunch of Odin's solo feats.

ONLY if you look at the high-end feats alone and disregard the lower ones . . .

As for stopping time he never did it but then again in how many comics do heros show an ability that could have been used any another situation quickly to end a fight.

but that argument usually comes up because heroes have USED said power in battle before. something odin has never done in this case. perhaps it tires him to stop time, or takes a lot of power? i don't know. perhaps it takes too long or requires some effort and concentration? whatever, since we've never SEEN it we don't really know. not too many (even counting top tier cosmics) have shown the ability to stop time at a whim . . .

Although I do agree the fight comes down to just how powerful the Godwave is. I'm some people would like to tell us just what it can do.

I am not versed in the heroes and villains of DC since I was brought into the Marvel fold at a young age. I do know that Superman is absurdly strong and durable, and gets his strength by recharging via solar energy from (surprise) suns, and when he "sundips" he gets ubered up. I am guessing that WW's equipment is powerful but doesn't stop her from getting hurt from people like Deathstroke, who has no powers that I am aware of. I have no idea what the Godwave is either.

I do know that of all the skyfathers, Odin is one of, if not the most, powerful, topping even Zeus. The Odinforce, the energy imbued within Odin, is in the top ten most dangerous weapons in the universe, along with the Zodiac Key and the Eternity Gauntlet. I also know that there are only a handful of characters in the Marvel universe that can kill Odin. These are Eternity, Death, Thanos (with the Eternity Gauntlet), the Living Tribunal, the One Above All (not the Celestial, the god of the Marvel multiverse), Infinity, Oblivion, Lord Chaos, Master Order, and maybe Galactus and Uatu the Watcher. Regardless, a suped up Superman with that much equipment will lead to a challenging figh on both ends.

Wow! What an amp like this I don't see how Superman don't stomp Odin within moments.

But anyways, Superman boddies Odin hard in this matchup, if we're presuming he has control of the godwave; he'd be so far and away above Odin, he and all of Asgard would be miniscule by comparison.
