@ the end of hulk # 6, A-bomb reverts back to rick jones and then gets shot in the back by samson... with long hair, shirtless and wearing torn pants. he says:
samson (holding gun) - " you can't be telling secrets rick. it's not in your future, it's not in your destiny.(now dragging him away) we're going to have to fix that".
just when that looks like concrete evidence, in the next panel in shows red hulk still on his back ko'd with ross standing over him telling him
ross - "and you, we gave you everything you needed to destroy that green monster. every thing. and still you failed us. and worse, you failed yourself. your on your own now".
he then walks away.
in the next panel it shows red quickly waking up with a mad face like was not really ko'd and listening to ross telling him he was a failure.
looks like it's all a big cover up created by the gamma base. i think there are TWO red hulks, samson and talbot.
Ok somebody help me. I've always been one of those guys that think the Hulk is the strongest or has the potential to be the strongest hero in the marvel universe. I keep reading that Thor, Silver Surfer, Juggernaut heck i've even read that the Thing is as strong as the Hulk! Also, i've read that Superman and Wonder Woman are stronger. But then i've read that Martian Manhunter and Captain Marvel's strength compares to his. SOMEBODY TELL ME THE TRUTH ! ! !

Hulk has unlimited potential as far as strength is concerned...as such, it's crazy hard to find his max strength, since he breaks through everything he confronts...
I think he IS the strongest one there is...its just that he has to get angry enough to get there...beings like Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, and Captain Marvel all have greater 'starting' points for strength than Hulk...plus they have controlled supersonic flight (which increases their punching energy)...
but give Hulk a few seconds to get angry and he can match them and eventually overpower them...
not to say he'd win in a fight, though...they have a wider array of offensive powers, but strength-wise, I'd say Hulk 'can' be the strongest...just needs a lil time and anger to build it up..

Ok. I've been able to find answers to some of my questions. I've found that Thor, the Surfer and Juggernaut's strength levels are comparable to the Hulk's, until he gets mad that is. But since the Thing can "only" lift 85 tons he's out. Marvel has always been good about making information about there characters available. Is there somewhere that i can find the dc characters' power/strength levels? Or do we have to take their fans' words for it? I'm tired of hearing about how strong superman is without being able to get an approximate strength level.

All of this seems kind of stupid because Samson was always there to try to help Banner become completely human again, not just outright destroy him. Either way, Loeb is a complete ass. I was cool with a lot of things up until now...I really don't see where he could go from here with the story...
I say try this story again in a few years and have an actual good writer get attached to the project.

You're absolutely right. Sampson has consistently been portrayed, over the years, as a compassionate man who really cared abouts Banner and his various incarnations. Under Loeb's writing he is suddenly sinister. If Jeph Loeb wrote Spiderman, he would probably come up with a story where Aunt May is revealed to be a cunning and evil mastermind, who engineered the accident that gave her nephew spider powers-and arranged the murder of her husband, Uncle Ben-before hiring the Green Goblin to go after Pete, all for her own amusement.
