Just flat out hold more power? There's plenty.
Bill and Thor are definately more powerful than he is, considering how well they can wield energy.
Veteran GL's such as Hal, Kilowag, Kyle, and maybe John Stewart on a good day hold more power.
Gladiator at his full confidence holds more power.
The Silver Surfer, obviously. Just about any Herald holds that power.
In the next few years you can probable add Sentry to that list, especially if New Avengers and The Return are just a small sample.
Supes is a flying brick with a couple extra attacks that he seldom uses. A lot of people can be more powerful than him, but fight-wise it's how he wields his innate abilities that evens the board for him.
Actually there are VERY many characters that have a higher power intensity than Superman, very many that have an extensive range of power-sets and attributes compared to Superman, and many that can destroy Superman with ....well ...even a thought!
Even in the JLA Superman is not the most powerful .....I wouldn't even rank him in the top 5 in sheer power (unless he gets a Sun amp, and even that wouldn't put him top on my list for that matter ....)
That is the simple truth.
HOWEVER, the thing is this .....most of the matches on this forum that have Superman facing a character are totally skewed.
For example you see a match between Superman and the Thing (goodness, one picosecond knockout) or against Superman and the Hulk (basically an omni-dimensional character like Superman vs a one-dimensional character like the Hulk).
This is further expounded by the fact that KMC rules are in place, whereby Superman would be using ALL of his abilities to their fullest extent. In the comics even a jobbing Superman manages to pull off some rather nice feats every now and then .....imagine what a non-jobbing blood-lusted Superman can do!
This is why on KMC it seems like Superman wins most of the matches ....it is because most people put him against characters that (based on KMC rules) are PATHETIC against him.
Then there is a SMALL group of people who do the inverse .....they basically put Superman against characters that are clearly his superior.
Now, I am not saying Superman is weak or anything like that. He is one of the most powerful 'Omnis' (omni-dimensional characters, with more powers than your average X-Men team, and each of those powers being at a very high level of intensity). And he can EASILY defeat most of the people posters put him against on KMC.
However there are very many people he cannot easily defeat, and many others who he cannot defeat in a KMC style situation.
Most people just do not select such people .....instead you see a match between Cyclops and Superman, Namor (who I admire) and Superman, Wolverine (goodness!!!!!) and Superman, Hulk and Superman (oh oh ...all the Hulk fans will come out now).
All matches that a bloodlusted Superman would win easy (if I had more time I could explain why it would take Superman the same amount of time to finish the Hulk as it would take him to finish Cyclops, but I am not yet willing to get into another Hulk-fan exchange spiel).
Anyways, there are a lot of characters that are FAR SUPERIOR than Superman.
HOWEVER at the same time there are also a lot of characters that cannot even clip the dew nails of Krypto the Super-dog, yet people KEEP ON asking how they would fare against Superman.
That is the problem.

The rules state that threads must be created using comic characters.
However when an answer is left open to any and all comers there is no stated limitation on where combatants may come from. (and technically by forum rules she is a character in a novel series not an anime)
